How to Split a GTC

Hello everyone, this is my very first entry on this forum (didnt noticed it before :P),
now I have some question for you (as the topic suggests):
How does the splitting of a GTC work?
Is the GTC buying through the forum section secure or do i will be able to fall into a scam?

I hope you can answer my questions, really like the game and hope I will do some time in it ^^

why do you want it?
for game time or to buy plex?

if its for plex you simply go to the nex store ingame and theres a button to buy plex, then you can purchase it securely from CCP via your account. (after you buy the plex you must log out to have to option to receive it)


it then appears in the login screen of eve as a little gift box near the bottom. (it means you have items to redeem)
select a character but do not log in (the character you want to give it to should be in the big portrait window,if you have more then 1 toon)
when the toon/character you want to redeem the item for is in the pig picture window click on the package and follow the prompts.

the item will go to the hangar wherever your toon is (important since you do not want to move plex around in your cargo, so make sure your toon is docked up in a place where you can sell the plex at the best rate, like Jita)

you will have 2 plex in a stack, to unstack click the stack, hold shift and drag the stack to a blank spot in the hangar, you then get a dialog asking how many you want to move, input 1 to split the stack, then sell

if you buy GTC you still convert it to plex with the same method more or less, to use the game time take a single plex and right click on it and select the proper option

Welcome to the EVE forums.

The settings menu in EVE, which can be reached by pressing ESC after you are logged in, provides you with a button at the lower left side to turn one 60 Day EVE Time Code into two PLEX. You can find more information regarding the EVE Time Codes on our Knowledge Base. You can read more about PLEX here.

Notice that we do not allow scams that involve EVE Time Codes. If you encounter such a scam, please file a petition and our Customer Support will take care of it.

Thank you both for your respnse, my fault was to google and search for GTC Eve instead of simply EVE Time Codes (which could have directed me to the Knowledge Base).
