Dual Character Training

It would be helpful to have some kind of notification go out to users when they are approaching the end of a paid period of play.

I find it troublesome to remember each month to renew my dual character training fee in addition to 3-month subscription on my account. So what ends up happening is my alt drops out of his training queue and I cant restart it until I return home - loosing 12 hours of training time.

Perhaps an email that would go out at the 7-day mark before the dual training period expires would help (and keeps our friends at CCP in $).

Thanks,
Geoffrey

I agree that the system could be optimized.

I have three accts dual training at the moment and never have a clue what's going on with times. I've had my mains stop training because a skill ran out just as the dual training ran out and the game defaulted the training to the alt. It can be a problem when you are training month long skills and don't check on that character too often and when you do, you discover it hasn't been training at all.

CCP need to get this sorted, in my opinion. Good idea but launched before it was ready.

Couple of workarounds:

  • Write it down/use the in game notepad when you are give the date and time it expires.
  • Use the in game calendar to make an event for it.

  • This was asked for the day it went live, give it a couple years, can't rush them.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

IIRC, it should tell you on the character select page if your sub is running low.

There is a page on the character sheet for that stuff, but it doesn't actually give any real information.

Sub, yes, but not dual training. The only real tool you have at your disposal there is to try to re-up the dual training period. If it says you can't, you know you have more than 7 days left; if you can, you have fewer. That's the full amount of precision of it. At best, if you check one day and is told you can't extend it, but are told the next day that you can, you know that you passed that 7-day limit some time between those checks, which is a tiny bit better, but still a small and window to hit unless you check constantly.

So yes, so far, setting an in-game/EVE gate calender alert is probably the best option.

I think they said something about making the log in page even more informative in Rubicon. Could be wrong though. Anyway, if they do, maybe they will include the dual training time left on it. Would be nice.

EveMon provides that notification, and I'm pretty confident that EveHQ does as well.

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

Microsoft Outlook has a calendar. Your smartphone probably has one. I know you can certainly BUY one (they even come with pretty pictures of labrador puppies, I hear).

    Seriously.

It's only one thing to remember every thirty days. CCP shouldn't have to hold your friggin hand. Be resourceful, not lazy.
