I want manufacturing/invention simplified. I shouldn't need to click 30 times to install a job.

Unless I say otherwise, I'm using the dang factory I clicked on to start the job.

Buying items off the market initially have the number of items set at "1". "0" would be much better because then you could just hit however many you want and "Enter".

I don't know if it is a little thing but more ways to fix npc standings than having to grind lvl1 missions for an eternity or do an epic arc every 3 months would be great.

Overview settings.

Make standings based colortags and background colours show ABOVE sec status based overview colours, BY DEFAULT, so that every newbro or empire dweller who joins a nullsec alliance doesn't have to go through the process of unfucking their overview.

Speaking of overview settings, that bug where blues show up as neutrals sometimes... kind of annoying and often deadly.

You can edit the appearence of your overview by messing with the XML files... How about having options like these in the overview settings? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRoy-VISSl4

as well as a bar in the right hand corner that shows you how much fuel you have remaining in your capital ship fuel bay (cause im a blonde and always forget before trying to jump somewhere not good when your surrounded by hostiles)

Probing-
Remember settings by probe type rather then across the whole range. Deep Space Scanner probes spawning at 256 km range, while Core Scanner Probes 8 km range etc (or whatever the player wants).

Buy/Sell Orders

Have your own orders highlighted.

When the adjusting the price of an order and the price has focus the mouse wheel will increase the price by 0.01 ISK per click. I'd like to be able to increase this by, for example, holding down shift and each click will adjust the price by 1 ISK and hold down Ctrl and each click is 1,000 ISK. (it would also be nice if this effected the mouse wheel when scrolling through other lists)

Have the ability to restrict your orders availability according to the customers rep. So you can set you orders to not buy/sell to reds or only sell to blues etc. Orders should still be seen in the market but if they are not available to you, then have them greyed out. You would also need to be able to look up what the restrictions are.

Collision Avoidance
This is rubbish and really annoying to have your ship smashing its face in to stations and other space furniture. Makes me wonder what the hell my crew are doing

Login Screen
More tips shown on the log on screen. Start with the limited number but have an option to expand these. For example, once the same tips have started repeating, have a button to click to get another set of more advanced tips to start showing.

Opt out of Rookie Ship Program
Please stop giving me a rookie ship every time I dock when I'm in a pod. It just wasted time trashing it.

Better Explosions for Massive Ships
When ships such as titans get killed, it would be great to see small explosions ripping up and down the ship before it finally blows up. We play this game to watch ships explode, so let's have the really big stuff explode more.

Visual Variations in Ship Variants
Have slightly more than just a different paint job on the T2 variants. This does not have to be anything massive just something to differentiate between them.

Camera Options
Have the ability for the camera to track your target so you can see what your shooting without keeping having to adjust it manually.

I know I have repeated some other peoples ideas here but they are worth repeating.

Star Wars Galaxies uses (in emu form)/used (in dead commercial form) a 'factory crate' system to get around the stacking of player created items with stats like bpcs have. Those stacks could be used to craft with or have items removed from them to normal single unstackable components. Worth a thought?

Black ops : a little more range and maybe a little less fuel for larger ships like t2 indys and recons? iirc 5 recons portalled uses same fuel as 28 bombers. Hotdrops with less fuel use might be a lot more useful than longer range to create more dead ships and more smiling ccp economists :)

Starting out with small ones..
Show the number of docked pilots in the station menu
Remove the collapse/expand menu entry in the right click menus.
Chat: Show tooltips for names that exceed the chat window
Chat: Allow us to make the chat input box smaller (1 line)
Add the right click context menu for all items in the LP store
Allow us to create sub folders for bookmarks

Get rid of constellations from a players perspective.
They are just confusing to new players and don't really serve any purpose anymore, do they?

That would include:
  • The Constellation chat
  • Constellations in the Sovereignity info and route display
  • Constallations in the bookmark window
  • Removing the constallation names in the map
  • Solarsystem information
  • NPC Corporation Information -> Settled systems
  • Personal assets constellation tab
  • Science & Industry range selector

Make the chat sortable and/or filterable by standing, just like the overview
Would remove the need to search the local chat for hostiles in crowded 0.0/Lowsec systems.

AFK/Away/Available system for chat
Let us display a little badge whether we are available or not.
Obviously it should by customizable who should be able to see these tags.

More detailed descriptions for the learning implants and other items new players will come across
Example: Cybernetic Subprocessor - Basic
It states "This image processor implanted in the occipital lobe grants a bonus to a character's Perception."
New players will probably be confused about the Lore and continue with finding help on external websites.

Extend the tooltips of ships in your hangar, corporation hangars and pos hangars
Health, insurance days/hours left, cargo? drones?, damaged modules, basically display things that change often and would either require opening the fitting window or a right click -> Show Info


Map Usability (this might require more work, feel free to pick just a few items)
Current problem with the map is, that it's difficult to get specific information about a single system.

Want to know how many kills there were in a specific system? Toggle the "Show recent kills" in the map menu. And it goes off by loading the data for every system in EVE. Not even displaying it yet. Now you have to move your mouse over the solarsystems tiny representation and wait for the tiny box to display the information by using a tiny font.

Want to know if the system is populated by PVE players? Toggle the "Show recent NPC kills" in the map menu. Guess what you have to do again.

My proposals:
A) Make it easier to select a system. (See dotlan maps, each system is represented as a large ellipse)
B) After selecting a system display it's data in a better fashion.
Maybe a transparent box like PI is using will be fine. It should list all the available information of the selected system.
It should also be possible to keep that information displayed after closing the map. (Maybe by making the map a window in the EVE client?)
If preloading all the data is too expensive, add a region view to the map which only displays your current region, just like dotlan does. That should be more affordable from a technical point of view.
C) Show us how old the map data is. Preferably by adding something like the session timer to the map.

Hope that some of these map changes will make it into the client next year Smile

This would save the scammers in Jita a lot of time and effort copying and pasting, and increase productivity. P

The one that is like 3 pixels wide? No. Overload needs reworking in the UI to let you know when it is off, on and will go off at the next cycle.

The new hanger code need reworking so when you jump in a bigger ship the camera jumps before it renders.

Not renders camera is in the ship. Zoom out, rerender.

Persistent module state between gate/bridge jump. I.E. My DCII will stay on after a gate jump and my the overload's green light for my tackling gear wills stay on too.
