Hi Eve,

This is your competition.

Time to stop juggling stats and balance changes. I love this game so, so much, for the better part of a decade now, but you have some serious competition heading your way, and it's time to stop with the baby steps for gameplay changes and time to bring out new, innovative things.

Now will that be locked or just shoved to OoPE?

Any bets?

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Shame it's not a single shard MMO with 50k+ players online at the same time.

This is meant as constructive criticism. I want this game to be better, it does some things better than everyone else out there, no question.

It does many things worse than others as well.

besides being in the same genre, i don't believe these two games have much else in common.

Eve already has the backbone and the basic gameplay to expand in so many directions... I just wish we were pushing the devs for bigger changes and more gameplay options, rather than focusing on the small stuff of balance changes and UI fixes.

They're not even in the same genre. They just share a theme.

And it will offer many of the things EVE players like and want to do; flying together, building ships together, flying a large capital ship as a group, getting out of your damn ship and walking around, and shooting other ships. You don't need 1,000 ships on the same grid when 100 will give you an immersive experience.

The thing I dislike most about the bazillion "EVE Killers" is that they take so long to make that we get like 150 threads about how relevant this game will be to EVE. Then it comes out, nothing happens and "Shock!" a new game is in pre development and it will be made entirely of liquid gold, EVE is dead.

My point is that they need to crank out "EVE Killers" faster so there is less spam.

Why do people feel the need to choose between a motorcycle and a car when you can own both?

The games are not the same. They won't take the same place in our stack of games. Star Citizen I highly doubt is going to have the same level of intrigue and asshattery that Eve does (and what we love about it) even though they both will have sandbox elements.
