Improvement to the Market UI - add a tab that shows a regional heat map of transaction volumes for the product you're looking at, it would provide a host of benefits to traders, and might even help decentralize the trade hubs a bit.

Sad you see it that way. I won't play Skyrim as EVE seems way better, but I still think training skills takes a bit too long. Even though the corp is cooperating on different professions, some gets bored when they've reached the top in their profession and decides to change profession and then gets 6 months of training straight into their face. Could be quite a let down, and some, including me, probably think it would be cooler to work for the skill points in a practical way, next to the normal. That's my thought.

Another idea is that you should make very detailed models once you make a ship. Lower the poly count for the game model, then update it as hardware evolves. Saves a lot of developing time unless you're not already doing it. 3D Studio Max got tools for that, if that's the program you're using.

Another and simple idea I got from the quote just above: Make a box for incoming damage, one for drones, and one for your ships outgoing damage. That way it's easier to evaluate your weapons, drones and resistance in more or less hectic battles.

Here are some things that my corp, friends, allies, and enemies, have discussed and would like to see changed.



POS - Design mode

I like the changes with the timers for anchoring/onlining pos modules, but I had a different idea...

You should be able to enter a "Design Mode", where you can layout the pos, put all the modules where you want them, then hit a big "GO" button. The process can take 1-2 hours for it to do all the anchoring and onlining, but it should do it automatically, based on the design/layout I setup. There could also be templates in the "Design mode" where a user can select from a list of CCP created "Default" pos layouts, or from a list of previously saved/imported POS layouts.


Corporate Roles/Privilege delegation

The interface for setting up corp roles, privs, and priv templates needs some love. The whole process is a pain, then add in the gui glitches and save bugs, and it makes for a really fun time. I think at least an interface change/fix/simplification would be great. Additional number of role templates would be nice too. And could you please take the daym roles names off of the character sheet. The universe doesn't need to know that I gave a member the role template "Pos Gunner"

It would also be cool to be able to give members ranks and insignias.

Hanger tabs

It would be great if we could have more than 7 tabs to our hangers. The ability to add as many as we want would be great, but I'd be happy with an upper limit of 20. From 7 to 20 tabs, adjustable by the CEO. It would make sorting items, and protecting expensive goods so much easier.

Wallet divisions

Same thing here, wish we could have more than the limited number of corp wallets. Members of our corp want to each have their own wallet, so they can manage their corporate sales. With a limit of 7, this is difficult to give everyone one, and still have wallets to keep corp funds organized. An upper limit of 20 would be fine here as well. so from 7 to 20 wallets.


Fuel blocks??

If you are going to introduce fuel blocks, please make it something that can be easily assembled, in the corp hanger, or even the tower itself. Nullsec players that are far from highsec/market hubs fuel their towers using PI output. It would be really lame if we have to haul it to highsec, build the damn blocks, then haul it back out. And setting up an assembly array is overkill too. The POS should have a "hopper" that you can dump the fuels into, and it constructs the fuel blocks, or you should be able to right click in a corp hanger and hit "assemble fuel blocks" and it will bring a window up with the fuels you have in the tab your looking at, and how many you can make.

PI - Zoom/rotation entry

Can you axe the planets rotating and zooming in, and just start at a set zoom, looking at your command center. Or better yet, looking at the last place on the planet you looked (since i often times will have to move my entire setup to a different hotspot on the planet, and the command center is no longer next to it).


POS Guns - ammo

It would be great if we could see how much ammo is loaded in the guns, from the POS manage interface. It would be extra nice if we could load ammo into a hanger of the tower, or some central ammo storage, then load the guns from the manage interface, without having to fly outside the shields, but I would be happy with just the ability to see how much ammo is loaded from manage interface. It is really annoying to have to fly to every gun and check and reload them after a POS engagement.


Fitting screen - better stats

The eve fitting screen could use some love too. Fitting tools will show you volley damage, DPS, speed when your mwd is active vs not, and other useful stats that factor into building a great ship/fit.

- Fix ships exiting warp sideways (I may be wrong but it looks like just one line of code to pre-initialize direction vector with velocity vector for ships which are added to the scene)
- Scale system star halo according to distance from the star
- When in station, dragging stuff from "Items" to station background should move it to active ship cargohold (similar to dragging ship to background makes it active now)
- Dragging stuff from active ship cargohold to station background should unload it to station
- There is a bunch of invention science skills which are useless for PvP characters - give those skills marginal overheat-related bonuses. For example Quantum Physics: -2% heat damage per level for shield boosters and hardeners, Rocket Science: -2% heat damage per level for Afterburners and MWDs and so on. Such small bonus won't turn them into "must have" for novice players but will give something for people who are running out of usefull skills to train.

Uhh... and enough with the small stuff - EVE starving for some big changes long time now! =)

Ability to share wallets and hangers with your alts. It really sucks having to go through multiple accounts transferring ISK and assets. Seems like we are being punished for having more than one account.

Very minor annoyance, but easy to fix: You should be able to dock at the station of your research agent by getting the "dock" option from the research menu in your journal. Currently you can set the course from that menu, but you cannot dock.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Fleet Formations: Ability for fleet commanders to choose the actual positions of fleet layout similar to Homeworld
Deltas, Walls, Spheres, Lines.

Make it interesting, allow it to be based on ship hull type, Caps in center, frigs on the edge, or all protecting in a sphere a freighter as an escort. etc.

3 years i've been playing this game and tolerated sound bugs and probably an outdated sound engine. Graphics and sound are 2 very important components of a good game.

Why the hell do I need to tell you to prioritize sound ?

Damage sounds when in a station that is under attack.

Think about it: there you are in your quarters sipping on an Arcturan Shiver or checking ship manifests from your hangar balcony when the station comes under attack... First there should be a loud rumbling thunder of the station's shields taking hits, shortly followed by claxons and/or warning messages that the station is under attack (possibly red strobing lights?). Option to silence them perhaps?

Perhaps Aura-like audible updates periodically whenever station services reach critical damage points.

Occupants of a station under attack should be left in no doubt of what's happening. Dulled as your senses may be by the effects of that thrid Arcturan Shiver, you shouldn't be able to while away the time blissfully ignorant of what's going on around you.

This would add immersion into the null-sec warfare game, and add a sense of dread, urgency and perhaps purpose to those trapped in a station as the attackers declare their intent on coming in...

In-Game:

EVE Gate/Forums: the mail count does'nt update correctly. The icon shows that I have 7 unread mails but I have none right now.

Those specialty ships that were given out with unique Bonuses. 1 Note attacked by sleepers, the one that does code Breacking and requires a Head in a jar to be built.

those non combat ships that industry guys can use.
Make them a different color than the give aways so the give a way ships are notice able.

Someday I will have the time to play. For now it is mining afk in High sec. In Cheap ships

if that is the case the reward needs to be nerfed as risk vs reward needs to be put in to consideration.

Ability to repackage ships/items in CHA and SMA

Ability to assemble Tech 3 in Wormhole as well as the ability to switch Sub-System.

New Wormhole celestial look/effect, it is currently just...a bubble. Boring to watch and doesnt look alike any IRL simulated singularity.

Ability to mod UI (color) and a lot of custom macro.

Mobile/keychain Authenticator for security.

Station pet, anyone?

put a direct video feed from the Docking area in to my captain quarters.

Though to be a Evil about it. Make the view from side over looking the docking bay so there are some (LARGE) blind spots.
So If I am gate camped I can still be surprised by my enemy it he takes the time to learn where the camera blind spot.

this will increase the functionality of CQ and make it more entertaining especially if it is in Jita. Also give a little more element for station games.

I hire a merc corp to park a Freighter in front of the Station so I can hide my tackling Battle Ship behind it.

Would be interesting to Pump this live feed out on the web for those interested in viewing it.
