A few weeks ago I managed to turn my gaming laptop into a rather expensive boat anchor by attempting to flash the bios. So now my little tool of destruction has been shipped off to Asus and I am left feeling rather powerless.

Until.

Until I remembered that I had, in storage, a 8 year old laptop that might offer the capability to jump back into my pod. Now, the Dell Inspiron 9300 is not a Vic 20 by any standards. But I was still rather doubtful of this EIGHT YEAR OLDs capability to run Eve.

CCP, the scale-ability of this program is simply amazing. My own ability is once again the only limiting factor in my attempts to tackle WHs or lvl4s.

With sufficient RAM, I like your chances, and yes, that is indeed one of the greatest things about this game. If there is a decision to go forward with high resolution textures, I hope they make its implementation optional for the purposes of older machine compatibility such as you describe.

There's real reasons why your Eve character doesn't do /dance.

Some of the new people at the top have some really interesting ideas for the future.

I must admit though, some of the hiring from the player-base that CCP has done over the years probably has hurt the game more than it has helped it.

because the infamous Hi-Rez texture pack we are all waiting for will be assimilated into the scale-ability beauty of the graphical engine. It will be optional, so the win98 crowd can still function as it has - while those with a few extra gigs on their video card can enjoy awesomeness.

IF anything, CCP needs to add even lower resolution support.
