Hello all,

I recently tested Remote sensing skill and found that having it up to level 3 (that is 5 LY range) allows me to scan every single planet on map - even those in Jove region! How is that possible??

Remote Sensing allows you to scan the planets in a certain range for PI.

Go to map mode (F10), My Information, Planet Scan Range and the colored dots are the systems within.... well, your scanning range.

Hover the cursor over the system description, then you will get a description for the planets in this system (among other things).
Click on the description of the planet then drag the picture of the planet into a chat window. Now right-click on the planet name there and select "View in planet mode" for the ressources.

Now, if that planet is in a system within range, you can then click on the individual ressources to show on the planet, if it is not in range, it will tell you so (and of course not show the ressource-spots on the planet).

Edit: For clarification, the difference between "in range" and "out of range" is apparently only in showing the hotspots on the planet itself, not the general ressources on the planet.
