I would love for the over-heating UI to get an over-haul. The current design is very difficult to interact with.


  • The over-heat toggle is so ridiculously small it's impossible to consistently hit it right.

  • The colored pulse from the module being active, plus some module images that go outside the circle make it very difficult/not possible to see the actual heat damage progress on the module.

  • Rack heat would be better displayed nearer the actual rack of modules, imo.

There are a lot of useless modules in the game but the one I would really like to see fixed is the Target Painter II

Compare these stats;

Target Painter II

Activation Cost: 24 GJ
Signature Radius Bonus: 30%
Accuracy Falloff: 60km
Optimal Range: 30km
Activation Time/Duration: 10.00 s
Meta Level: 5
CPU Usage: 24 tf
Powergrid: 1mw

Phased Weapon Navigation Array Generation Extron
Activation Cost: 16 GJ
Signature Radius Bonus: 30%
Accuracy Falloff: 60km
Optimal Range: 30km
Activation Time/Duration: 10.00 s
Meta Level: 4
CPU Usage: 16 tf
Powergrid: 1mw

So the Tech I meta 4 is much better than the Tech II meta 5, can't you make a slight tweak to the Tech II module, especially given the larger activation cost? 31% sig radius bonus perhaps, for a quick win that fits between meta 4 and meta 6 ?

A little thing:

A missile launcher hardpoint (or two) on the Ibis. The caldari noob should be able to put the signature racial weapons system on their shiney new Rookie ship.

Btw, I'm unsure if you're looking for short-term fixes or long-term wants, but here's a list of long-term things for me in order of priority...

* AF 4th bonus (make them proper mini-HACs)
* Give the Coercer and Retribution more than 1 midslot
* Eliminating split weapon ships (the Typhoon provides a good path forward for this)
* T3 Frigates
* Make ship names appear on hulls

Also, I'm concerned the hybrid buff is not going to go far enough - there is a fundamental flaw in blaster boats... namely, they need to get in range fast, but their focus on armor tanking keeps them slow, not to mention the damage mods that they need to be effective also have to compete for attention in the lows.

They either need a dash bonus that allows them to swiftly get in range (think maybe 2-3 km/s for a Deimos?) that can only be run for say 2-3 cycles, and need a cooldown time before they could be used again (could use heat mechanics here), or alternatively they need a massive increase in damage or perhaps tackle ranges so they can pin and kill their targets quickly. As it stands, I'm not convinced hyrbids will be sufficiently buffed for them to be viable.

If you take the time to read the official explanation of how FTL travel is possible in EVE, you'd know that the effects are right on. The premise is that there's an active system on the ship that initiates when warp is entered, and it removes all particles from in front of and around the ship (including photons, and one would assume neutrinos as well, etc). So there is no more resistance to keep the ship from going faster, which means it can keep accelerating.

Automatically re-parent the camera when the target it's looking at explodes.

When you've got 'look at' set on a ship and it blows up the camera should switch to looking at the wreck *at the same distance* , similarly , when your own ship explodes, don't zoom into the pod, keep the camera at the same distance.

Replace Bookmarks! With a better system, example allow for a probe like interface to set bookmarks.

Replace the POS system, with (dead horse modular system) - ok not so small little thing.

D-scan revamp - allow for an auto scan every so seconds!

Mining???? More hidden asteroids per system, less static ones. COMETS for ice!!!!!

- Remove the range limit from the "Look At" command. Sometimes when you are in a cov ops at 150 or 200km you are forced to use some really awkward camera angles to look at the action, for what it seems to be no reason at all.

- Add the ability to change the plane of the tactical overlay. Probably just making it use a plane in which you and your current target are would be an improvement.

- Shortcuts for launching drones, or just general improvements to the drones UI. Just don't forget about drone boats, ie. a single shortcut to launch a random set of drones is not good enough, we need to have a different shortcut for each set of drones.

- Saving/restoring formations of probes, launching probes faster. It is a pointless and repetitive click fest every time you start scanning a system.

- Remember what containers are open in a station. For example, if I undock with a station vault opened, I want it opened when I dock again.

- Some deadspace shield boosters make other options of active tanking look like a joke, both in terms of HP/cap and HP/s. This probably needs to be looked at, and bring armor repairers and other boosters closer to their level.

option in settings to change the colors to ones that provide a good contrast.

In fact having the abilit to change the colors of specific elements in the UI would probably go a very long way in solving many issues with colorblindness, no?
