Buffing barrage and hail would actually solve a ton of the problems autocannons are facing atm. The pulse laser and blaster t2 ammos are way too strong in comparison to autocannon t2 ammos.

This pretty much, buff the T2 ammo slightly and the rest of the ship is golden.

Time to ressurect this thread. I've done alot of theory crafting around the hurricane lately, tried flying it a little and I've reached the conclusion that the main problem for the cane is actually speed. Everything nowadays is just so fast or too tanky to take on in the cane, you have a pretty hard time getting a fight. Buffing the hurricane's base speed by some 80-100m/s would make it a so much better ship, cause right now it's more like an attack ship than a combat one. The problem it struggles with is that it doesnt have the projection or the speed to support it's dps.

I made this fit recently, it's basically like the old nano cane we all know and love but with a few modifications. Since the tracking enhancer nerf fitting 2 tracking enhancers and a long point doesn't really work anymore since the projection on the cane kinda forces you into scram range anyway. It's more of a gank close range ship nowadays, this particular fit has a potential of getting almost 800 dps with faction ammo, which is pretty solid. However, it goes 1400 m/s and has a fallof of 14km which isn't enough to support this in the current meta, and since a fallof bonus to make it more like a stabber would hurt it's dps too much I'd say speed would be better. It's a minmatar ship after all.

I've got some buddys that have started fitting lasers on the hurricane thinking its better so I think it's about time CCP takes a look at projectile ships.

It's disgusting that people complain about fine ships like Hurricane. Tell me what is not ok about hurricane , because i have no idea atm.

Just because some ships used to be overpowered and were in fact sources of imbalance before (thus making 90% of other ships IRRELEVANT) doesn't sound good.

In fact i support what CCP done to rifter and hurricane. It just put them in line with others ships. I don't have any fcking idea why would hurricane need to be stronger than brutix , ferox or any other battlecruiser.

I dare to say that minmatar ships are still op , thus often people call winmatar by many. Last thing they need is buffs.

On this one i fully support CCP and i hope they will not buff minmatar ships - and especially rifter and hurricane.

I think the Regular Cane is fine as is. I also appear to be a far bigger fan of AC's than some of the people in this thread.

The guy up there complaining about AC tracking and then also explaining how he ditched one of his TE's because he didn't need the range... Not sure how to respond to that tbh.

I would support switching the 2nd utility high off the Fleet Cane for a mid. Would really make the Fleet Cane a beast.

I did read your post. I actually did. And i still not sure why you complain. People still use canes, fleet canes. They don't complain. Damn some even prefer to undock it rather than other BCs. Lets be honest your so-called campaing is nothing but a joke. You want something that would hurt balance once again , exactly when we got quiet nice ballance among combat battlecruisers.

And for that i will keep my own campaign to never let such disasterous changes to wreck good(not perfect but hell better than ever) balance we got now.

And screw rifter, glad i can use other ships and i no longer feel gimped because i don't fly stupid rifter. God save us all from day when rifter will get any buffs. (And btw its fine - saw people actually kill nice stuff in this ship - it's just not autowin anymore).

Hold your horses. try to not contradict yourself, if it's fine why do you feel gimped in one?
There are pilots we could kill in a venture and you know it, and when the fit *match* you have a stance against all odds (like in all ships) that argument really does not stand.

I understand the sentiment that now is much better.
At the frigate level now it's one/two not so good ships against lot's of very good ones, before was one/two very good ships, the rest was trash. I like the ideia of tuning without breaking, like what happened a few months ago with the Tormentor per example.

Sorry for the derail Wray, I don't fly Hurricanes but I do fly Rifters.
A buff to barrage would be great tho, and not only for medium.

I think she meant she no longer feels gimped because she DOESN'T fly rifters mate. Not that the rifter is gimped now.

I for one still love flying my rifters and feel the balance now is far far better than it has been for years in anything sub BS (cos thats mainly all I fly for pvp)

I love the ship, I know it is not gimped, but I think they are not up to par.

One thing you'll notice about other racial ships (frig especially) is that if you are not fit for a speciic task you have no chance. Whereas with the minnie stuff you have more flexability with each fit to push the envelope so to speak Shocked

Having said that I love the amarr as well Big smile
