Can I buy the EVE History Book separate from the collector's Edition in the future?

I really like the look of it and want to get my hands on it without having to acquire any of the DUST stuff which is irrelevant to me.
The EVE Source book looked promising until I read it has DUST information too.
The shop is mostly empty. What's the deal huh? CCP?

Probably not, looks like that one's going to be unique to the collector's edition (at least for the time being).

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

buy real items w/ real money, and virtual items w/ ISK and its all fine.

Oh no, better tell all those people paying real money for PLEX and selling them in game that they're in trouble!

If you want to buy 5 collectors editions just to sell the items, there is literally nothing at all wrong with that.

If those people want to sell the physical **** on ebay, nothing wrong there either.

I'm thinking that it would be smart to break up the CE to components since most of the criticism is surrounding the fact that very few people want every item in the set. Fortunately some want it for the USB hub, while others want it for the CD, then there are those who want the in game items like the golden pod. People are complaining that $150 is too much to spend on the one or two items that they actually want, so there might be some money to be made by selling off the components.

I too primarily want the book (the Art of Eve hardcover is one of my favorites) and briefly thought about eventually getting it on eBay. Getting the in game items with ISK (process of completing my 8 sleeve collection) is not much of an issue, and I could do without most of the other physical items. I decided to get the CE since the Eve merchandise runs are small and it is near impossible to find stuff from the old Eve shop (I love my Megthron model) from resellers and there is that mystery code.

I have buy the collectors edition just because I want to see how its started and how its progress sure I was there but the details is out of the question. Now the rest comes with it, its just extra and I like that. Is it expends yah it is. Is it unique yes it is. So there was no brain storm to buy it. You like history and you can not buy there is always a wiki for that. But you miss the chance for something unique and that's where you come in.

Big difference is buying plex with RL money to sell in game is sanctioned by CCP, selling RL items for isk still may be viewed as RMT

Only way to be sure is to ask CCP via support ticket or unless one of the devs/gm's comes onto the forum and makes an official statement about it.

I certainly wouldn't trust my account's future to someone not in a position of authority on the forum saying it should be ok.

Yes you can sell the item on Ebay as that can't be viewed as RMT as they're physical items, but selling them for isk maybe seen as such.
