Hello devs,

Trying to move my thread from the technology lab on the old forums to the new ones and I can't create a link to virus total. The other links in my post will work correctly but this one particular link won't work.

This is the link that won't pass the BBCode parsing:

http://www.virustotal.com/file-scan/report.html?id=008292ed4412e771162b4fb4b66d720dfe31afbaa3579142c5493c6818375286-1301656936

I believe it spits it's dummy because there is an equals sign in the link and the parser can't handle it.

I'm using Chrome on windows 7 x64.

Thanks,

Ef.

Fake Edit, just tried to preview my post and the link is "Working" although it isn't wrapped up in a url tag. I think you might have a problem if it's interpreting the url from the text body of the forum post.

Could it be the forum security not allowing it to be wrapped in a url tag because it has "viurs" as part of the link? I know on my forum the link protection dissalows links to certain sites because of some words.

Potentially, but the url isn't wrapped in a url tag and it's still a clickable url, so if that's the case that virus is an excluded word from a url, why does the forum make it a clickable link anyway?

Nope, because it also refuses to let me post links to other posts on this very forum...
