Increase RoF but make Alpha/Volley something special

I think bring more Alpha especially in large Fleet Fights is more a Problem then a Solution, it cripples anything Down which doesnt have some huge Tank or very high speed to dodge most of the damage.

Also the fact that Missiles in combination with the average Alpha Doctrine wont fit is kinda sad.

I would love to read what you think, if ALL Turrets get faster alot but lose some Damage Multiplicator.

Some fast Example. (All are the biggest Large T2 Without Skills/Bonuses)

Pulse > 3sec cycle (old 7,9)
Beam > 6sec cycle (old 9.0)
Tachyon > 9sec cycle (old 12.5)

Blaster > 4sec cycle (old 7,9)
Railgun > 8sec cycle (old 9,6)

Autocannon > 6sec cycle (old 7,8)
Artillery > 12sec cycle (old 40)

Unguided Missile (Torpedo) > 22sec cycle (old 14,4)
Guided Missile (Cruise) > 27sec (old 16,5)

The damage should be the same as the current is (besides the needed Torpedo Buff) just increase the RoF and lower the damage Multiplicator until it Match the same DPS.

I believe this would greatly impact all kind of ships without breaking the Game. While increasing their use and make asynchron (or delayed) Damage incomming so dangerous that more fleets will try to integrate them because of the Overall Lack off Alpha-able Turret ships.

What do you think?

No thanks, my arty nado needs 1400 with nice alpha to pop carebears loaded with isk in 1.0.

Also eve needs to keep its diversity in weapon systems.

Thats a fair point, i understand the need of a diversity.

Ha to be fair my first thought would be to give Projectiles travel time kinda like missiles... And no i dont hate Minmatar. ;-)

Its not the first time someone's suggested shuffling missiles to having the highest alpha. Not sure what the downsides would be.

Decreased velocity. Fast ships could just burn away from you and outrun your torps/cruise missiles. T2 ammo would have penalties such as increased sig radius, decrease ship velocity, etc.
