ToS Update question, (serious one not a troll!)

I have a toon I'm training up for sale that has a VERY similar name as this toon.

Could I get a name change on that character to avoid someone using it to impersonate me in the future?

Also, if a GM does answer this question, could you please lock this thread?

I'll also be flagging it to be locked/answered after it gets posted!

If you would like to change the name on your character, your best bet is to file a petition using the Support System. That is the only way to have the issue looked at. Hope this helps.

Hrm, sounds like a viable way to artificially inflate the character sales market. Sell character then petition for impersonation. Rinse, repeat.

It's almost like you didn't even read the OP.

EVE is a game about spaceships and there's an enormous amount of work to do on the in-space gameplay before players (or developers) are ready to sacrifice it for a totally new type of gameplay - CCP Rise

I wonder what happens to shareholders. At one point I was contacted about some shares I held in an old corp (before I got this char). So as a shareholder, can you represent yourself as a part of an entity?

It does help, even a little help is better then none.

And this saves at least one petition, and if a GM can EVE mail me, it'll save another...

CCP locked my thread and didn't answer my question at all.

I can't leave this corp due to stasis, so I asked if I'm liable to be punished and my thread was locked and linked to the TOS.

Thanks for the clarification CCP. I'm so glad you spent more time linking the TOS than saying yes/no to my question.

You mean besides from taking over corporations from people who don't understand how shares work, assuming that's not impersonating the legitimate owner of the corporation?
