More importantly, they sometimes play eve, so they are obviously not retired.

The GM response in the other thread wasn't enough?

You seem reasonable, I'll break it down for you.

I resurrect my hypothetical alt, Dr. Fury. You are now impersonating me.

I resurrect my hypothetical coalition, Furious Enterprise Coalition. I find a friendly GM who declares your corp "not a group" YOu are now impersonating a group of people.

How terrifyin.

Hmm, maybe if the whole CFC was aware of this, we might be able to do something with it and the rule that has always existed

I'd like some clarification on the recent TOS changes in regards to impersonation of entities.

My questions are:

What qualifications do you use to define an entity?

In what way are players allowed to misrepresent themselves?

Can we misrepresent services, our intentions, or our history?

Will recourse be taken against those who misrepresent themselves at any time?
For example: Player joins Alliance with good intentions, Player helps Alliance, Player later decides to rob Alliance. Is player 'bannable' for impersonating a leadership role after they have stopped performing that role?

An extreme example: A CEO who does not perform his duties, but claims to have a well-run corp, invites Player to join. Player finds CEO has misrepresented himself and his corp. Does Player have petitionable recourse?

These are the 'low-hanging fruit' questions I wish would be addressed. Of course, a proper explanation in the form of a Dev Blog or real dev response (read: not form letter) would be much appreciated.

Ccp's game and they can change anything what they want.
If you don't like then play a other game, after ofc you have contracted me all your stuff.

At least thats what was said when a "carebear" was scammed out of his stuff or anything else, now it effects the scammers.

Way to judge in black and white morals there.

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

Sure, CCP can totally change whatever they want. And indeed, people can go play other games. It worked so well ithe Incarna expansion, right?

This is true. It's also hypocritical, given that CCP has always emphasized (through trailers, press releases, and any/every form of media you can imagine) the fact that eve is a cold harsh universe where nobody can be trusted.

Except now, where anyone you falsely place trust in may be petitioned under ToS violation.

I propose Goonwaffe be banned on ground of falsely impersonating Germans.
