When will scanning be fixed?

Many people rely on exploration as their main source of ISK income and as someone who just sold all his mining gear and training mostly scanning related skills taking extremely long to scan sites is really annoying. Scanning has been borked since 1.1, when can we expect a patch? For me there is currently no reason to play until it gets fixed.

You don't have to play if you don't want to.

Or you can adapt for the time being and make isk in a different manner.

Right after CCP fixes the jump animation.

Then stop playing. I'd love it if they didn't fix it. A bit of the old pre-Odyssey scanning technique seems to have driven off most of the Johnny-Come-Lately crowd, leaving more for the rest of us.

I did not play before Odyssey, but not being able to warp to 100% scanned sites, spheres and dots not showing up is just stupid. Having to adjust your probes to hit the signature in a way that you get a circle or a pintpoint location and then not being able to warp to set location at times makes no sense. Even you bitter vets should get that.

You rely on it? You have to feed your ingame children or something?

In light of your answer however I doubt you are old enough to have children

How is my age relevant and why are you replying in the first place if your only intention is to troll?

The same can be said about you.

On topic, it is a bug that should be fixed, scanning is a huge part of EVE.

I disagree

Cosmic signature scanning works fine, sure we don't have the spheres when we enter a new system but just do a scan with your probes at 32Au and voila they appear. Also i can warp to them just fine.Only complaints i read are of combat scanning and that shouldn't affect you unless you make your isk by combat scanning? Right after you figure out that the scanning bugs are being discussed now in the Issues and Workarounds forum as opposed to GD.

That being said, although a little more difficult I have been scanning profession sites all weekend with great success as all the newbs are on the forums whining.

I also explore frequently.

But it will be fixed when it's fixed. Until then, time to break out the scamming alt.

Actually they didn't for me when running the tutorial missions on a new alt. I was lucky enough to hit some of them at a high enough strength to get down to the triangles. As otherwise I'd have been randomly shooting for them. So the bug is real. The answer will be when they find the bug probably though.
