"SOLAR SYSTEM" is poor nomenclature.

I recommend that all instances of the term "solar system" be replace with "star system". Sol is the name of the star in the Terran System with Solar being it's adjective. There is only one "Solar" system.

Solar System

Generally true.

We also call any ground material 'earth' for a similar reason. (It should be soil or rock, depending)
Our vocabulary is not used to referring to items so far outside our collective experience.

Actually correct one is planetary system.

Star system is only group of stars. For example Sirius is star system.

So then what is a single star with no planets?

That would be referred to as simply the star's name, as it has no system other than possible debris to refer to.

This is untrue.

Multiple Star systems are referred to as Binary Star Systems. Multiple Stars in a region is a Star Cluster. Even a single star without planetary bodies is a Star System. All "stars" have a heliosphere and anything within that range would be considered within it's system.

Ok, context relevant and fire the grammar nazis.

If a star is not within meaningful range of another notable object worthy of having it's own name, then it really is just that star.

A heliosphere just refers to the region of space dominated by that star's energy emissions. They do that.

Since every star has this, it is inherently a part of being a star, and is thus already included when referring to the star itself.

I've always preferred "stellar system".

No, binary stars refers to a two star system. And no one referred to binary stars.
