…and that's fine, but you're not the majority of the player-base.

Back when Incarna was released, many did indeed think that it was unfinished and frustrating, which is why so many left. Before that, Apocrypha was ridiculously unfinished, even if it didn't feel like it to most people.

But the fact remains, ever since then, the number of players and the server activity has shot up like crazy, and people seem to be very happy with the new content provided in the form of new tools or just tools that suddenly actually work (making them functionally the same as being new).

+1

The viability of Tech 1 cruisers (thanks to ccp's rebalancing and tiercide work) is enough to keep me playing forever. Cheap, effective pvp ships that are worth a damn and don't require 100 mil skill points. I rat or do incursions for 2 or 3 hours on the weekends and I'm stacked up with caracals and thoraxes for the next week + .

Couldn't do that before, because before Tech1 cruisers were only really useful for RvB and lol null fleet type things. Same with most tech1 ships, now alliances have honest to go tech1 ship doctrines using previously underused ships like Typhoons and Ravens.

If that's not new content I don't know what is.

I'm not saying what ccp is doing is wrong. They are on the right track. I'm mostly concerned that when they do get most of the re-balancing ect done there will come a point where they need to add some new jesus feature. I do not consider re-balancing what is already there additional content. CCP has plans but their track record is so bad regarding adding more content they began using the term jesus feature as if adding something new is a bad thing. Its a good thing. Saying every jesus feature never pleased the players so we will stop doing them is utter bull. and right now all they are doing is polishing off their jesus features. What should of been done years ago. if they were done right like how they turned out after re-balancing ... those would of been some seriously impressive expansions.

We already have jesus features, that don't work. Once they've finished getting all of everyday mechanics and tools working as they should do, and all the ships in shape, then maybe they'll finish working on the jesus feature that very few people currently use. Which bizarrely enough is the jesus feature that very nearly killed the game because it was released about 3 years too soon with absolutely no gameplay associated with it.

Hats on the other hand are acceptable, and ship skins.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Session Seven: The future. This is going to be a heavily NDA'ed session, but was another of my favorites of the day. The great news here is that there is a specific, coherent road map for the next three years that hangs together logically and should provide a lot of really great stuff for players over the next few years. It actually made me kind of envious of CSMs 9 and 10... It launched from CCP Seagull's two presentations at Fanfest and she presented most of this session as well.

I'm glad ccp has amazing plans which, while we don't know about them, are sure to not disappoint.

Incarna, the Best Idea Ever.

CCP are thinking sustainable, for once. If you ask me, it's going fine. Constant rebalance with occasional new content is good, they learnt their lesson when Jita was burning.

Considering the contingency planning I've put into place to deal with such an eventuality, I'm fairly sure that I am. P

Is your plan "shout 'Boo' and accept their surrender?"

Yes, but then they finally got the message after losing 10% of their customers as a result of the whole Incarna débâcle, so ever since they've put out expansions that consistently have been met with massive approval.

So your thread is about 2½ years too late…

Speak for yourself. Not only have I liked recent expansions, I liked Incarna.
Customisable API keys, JB balancing, better tutorial. It wasn't all bad.

same for me actually, incarna added a lot of things i liked,
i remember the old tutorial, it was both really boring, AND confusing :)

i was mainly offended with the microtransaction store, and especially the "greed is good" memo...

wow, i have to admit i had NOT thought of that, good point
the old typhoon was one of my favorite ships though, but i guess the new one is much easyer to fly properly :)

the crusiers thing was always a shame, so many crusiers in the game, and people used about 1/3 of them, glad they fixed that :)
