Change avatars without quitting the game?

Hallo guys,

Is there a way i can change among my 3 avatars on the same account with out quitting the game every time i want to change them ?

No, it's a long standing request amongst the playerbase. The CSM have brought it to the devs again in the little things that would make a lot of people happy, whether CCP actually decides to tackle it or not is still unknown. There's been comments from devs stating it's more complicated to implement than it looks.

It was possible a long time ago, but caused more problems than it was worth. Hopefully the launcher is a step in that direction.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

coming from a software developer, implementing this may very well not be worth the trouble. as insignificant as the function may seem, things like this often have undercurrents reaching into decades-old code, which is typically a nightmare to refactor and QA.

We do sort of have this in a half way state tho with the launcher.

Before, if you wanted to change character you'd pick "Logout" and the client would reboot itself ans bring you back to the login screen. Now, so long as you have the launcher still open and it hasn't timed itself out you can close the client, click play again, and be right back at the character select screen without having to type in your password again.
