ORE / Modular Freighter

While viewing the industrial ship changes for Odyssey 1.1 an idea I had for some time seemed relevant.

The premise,

ORE is per description an innovator and creator of mining tech independent from the 4 Empires. So logically they would create their own freighters and since they are plausibly different in mindset of the faction empires they could take a different approach to freighters.

The actual idea...

Having a modular; freighter or sub-capital super hauler. I envision it using a similar fitting mechanic to a T3 cruiser with subsystems determining various aspects of what the craft can carry and various other dynamics.

And on a side note: the Orca's model already looks like an external can hauler so might be a good starting point graphically

So a hauler that can be fine tuned to a particluar cargo type?

Let's say if it where to follow the T3 cruiser methodology. each sub-system would have an effect bays and/or volume

For example Propulsion:
Basic propulsion subsystem with no significant cargo modifiers
Blockage running sub-system with a moderate negative modifer
A standard jump-capable subsystem that would have a large negative modifier to overall capacities
A Covert Jump-capable subsystem with largest overall penalty

Just an example of an idea, but the general concept of trading off some of this for a bit more of that is the core concept

A t3 hauler? I could get behind this but it would have to be worse in each roll it tryed to take as too not step on the toes of the new haulers. It may not be able too carry as much as its counter parts but being able to switch from ammo hauler to ice hauler without having to reship could be worth some folks time.

Overall it would probably be better for industrialists and haulers to simply make an ORE Jump Freighter with almost no regular cargo but a massive Ore/Minerals hold that lets it beat out mineral compression rates.

Except the new haulers are T1 variants

No. Just no. That's jump freighter that can use BlOps bridge.
