you should AFK cloak them right back

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Then you'll try to explain that if she feels uncomfortable with a single neutral (probaly AFK) in the same system then problem is in her mind, not in the game mechanics.

At this point she will say "hey, don't go OT, we're talking about my personal feleing here not about game mechanics" and will restart from the first statement about how she wanting to PVP with someone AFK.

And she will continue so for 20 pages.
Then some forum moderator will lock the thread and the OP will start a new hidentical one using another alt.

I can count afk cloakers when i want to do it. There is a few ways to kill them, and i prefer do not explain how to do it for everyone.

But you can whine again.

AFK cloaking is one way to pvp, so you are getting pvp all the time, maybe not way you want it but...

EVE is funny game, everyone is afraid everything, paranoids everywhere.

best way to counter afk cloakers is to afk cloak too.

I am a recidivist AFK-clocker and regularly lapse back into that sordid activity. I can promise you, though, that when I am truly AFK-clocked … both AFK and cloaked … I am absolutely no threat to you. Given how bad I am at eve I am also not a lot of threat to you even when I am active … but that is another matter altogether.

Yes, I am also guilty of 24/7 AFK-clocking … usually resource denial during war campaigns, with the occasional hot-drop thrown in to make the point.

When I was in sov-null, as well as my long life in w-space, we were regularly longtime AFK-cloaky camped. It can be a pain, it’s meant to be, but it is eminently fixable. Give them no joy and they will go away … and your posting here must be giving your resident cloaker lots and lots of tear-fueled joy.

TLDR: Not broken, nicely balanced game dynamic, live with it.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

Best way to counter AFK cloakers, is to get as many people as possible AFK cloaky-camping Goons new renter empire. Then Goons will whine to CCP to nerf AFK cloaking, and CCP will fall over themselves to please them.

It's worked before, so it's worth a try.

Tell me again about how every playstyle you dont engage in "doesn't require any effort" and everyone who does it needs to die in a fire. Be sure to mention about how you tried it once but it was too easy/boring/ethnic-homophobic slur.

There is one proven counter to AFK cloaking which we have applied with great success in the past

1. Find the carebears behind the cloaking activity or find their carebear friends/allies.
2. Locate where they make money (ratting systems? missioning systems? mining systems): All of them
3. Organize your nullbears to train and direct 12-14 AFK cloaking alts (should not take much) to lock down all those systems 7/23.
4. Persist doing that for at most 1 week.
5. AFK cloaker suddenly disappears.
