And infested a Dominix! https://dl.dropbox.com/u/30270697/tempimages/zergdomi.png

This Domi must have Scourge, Mutalisk and Corruptor drones... (I forgot that Scourge is an SC1 unit)

Haha, I was just browsing around randomly on EOH Labs and saw an infested Domi. Found it amusing, reminded me instantly of Starcraft 2. http://eohgames.com/labs/Ships/Infested%20Dominix

Funny, as I read that my first thought was "both those games are so old, but is SC1 really older than EvE?" Google sais yes, 1998 vs 2003.
But then I thought, rouge drones havent been in EvE since the beginning anyway, have they?

Expected to read about TEST alliance and found a StarCraft fan with a wild imagination. X

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

Im pretty sure the idea of Rogue drones was based off games like Descent

Quote:
The game begins with a briefing between a bald anonymous executive (in later games named Dravis) of the Post Terran Minerals Corporation (PTMC) and the player, a "Material Defender" (revealed as MD1032 in the briefings, also using the callsign "Vertigo-1") hired on a mercenary basis to eliminate the threat of an alien computer virus infecting the robots used for off-world mining operations

Or just scifi regarding similar things that came before it.

Man, if only we could have these.

The Rogue drones are a faction of sorts, but we are lacking their ships or technology for the most part. There are previous F&I requests for this ship, or maybe a BP drop for them or something like that.

I would imagine it could have great EMP damage potential and as a drone boat (it's a big cahuna drone after all) be very capable.

In a way, it would be to Gallente what the Nightmare is to Amarr.

Unfortunately, CCP says no you can have. And that's that.

There's a lot of beautiful -no you can't have- ships. Like the blue Domi and the blue Abaddon. I still like this Domi though. I would name it "Hive Mind" if I could get it in game. Haha.

If CCP made it so you could paint your ships, like buying paint jobs, that'd be really nice. Either making the hull DDS files with remapable colors or just adding new paint types to each ship (which would probably take a lot more space in the game due to the large quantity of ships and stuff). I think remapable colors would probably be best but ship skin color choices would be a hard thing to program in. You either have to do hard programming, or sacrifice space to add each color in as a new DDS file.

I actually broke this off into a new topic. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3502991

YES! Like this

One of my favourite short stories, about an abandoned planet where only robots survive, living a kind of tribal hunter-warrior existence, separate from humans.

I'm sure it's not the first one, either. You could probably go back to automatons and 'the robot that turned on it's master' theme that was popularized with Dr. Frankenstein.

The Zerg invaded EVE a looooong time ago.

FYI it's called a "blob" fleet.

TL;DR If you didn't read the entire post perhaps you're probably ADHD. (seek help)

Although I fully realise the OP is joking I just want to point out that Zerg are based on the Tyranids from Warhammer 40K who in turn are based on the Xenomorphs from the Alien(s) franchise..Who are in turn based on Lovecraftian creatures.

So CCP could have taken their pick.
