Clarification with Salvage Equipment!

Could someone give me a little schooling on how the salvage mechanics work now, with the addition of the salvage drones?

I'm currently flying a Heron and training up to be proficient in exploration & salvaging. I do a little wreck salvaging from PVP battles time-to-time in LoSec, as well as the PVE stuff. If I wanted to equip my Heron with a couple of rocket launchers for the rats in the exploration sites, would my salvage drones still be able to cope with the requirements of "breaking into" some of the debris contained within these sites, or do I definitely need a High-Slot salvager for that? Also, can salvage drones salvage T2 wrecks given the proper salvaging SP? And the last thing - do the salvage rigs affect the drones as well as the High-Slot module?

Relic and Data sites no longer contain rats.

And nothing to salvage. Just things to use what were your code breaker and analyzer modules on.


There have been some changes with exploration.

You just simply click on the rapidly fleeing cans once the Site is Hacked.

I have a series of posts in this thread that answers that question. The answer is basically yes and no. T2 frigate wrecks are more or less fine, cruisers are harder, battleships harder still. Advanced Sleeper BSs are not salvageable with drones at all.

No. Perhaps they should, but they don't.
