Returning Player Questions

Hi all,

I'm a player returning after about a 4 month hiatus and I wanted to ask a few specific questions. I appreciate any help you can give me.

1. I left a moderately large industrial corp when I left and I was hoping I could venture into low sec/null sec and get into a moderately sized kind of newbie friendly corp (I am skilled in industry but want to get more involved in other aspects of the game). Anyone know or is involved with a good noob friendly corp in low/null sec that could take me on?

2. I'm rather indecisive when it comes to choosing a path in Eve because there is SO much to do. I found mining extremely boring and not profitable. I like playing the market and hauling sometimes. I was hoping if someone could point me in the right direction as to a new profession that is relatively profitable (maybe 40-50 mil/hour when focused) and something that is not awfully boring like mining or missions?

Sadly, the reason why I left initially is because there was so much to do that I couldn't focus and thus wasn't having much fun because I couldn't find my niche. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Maybe something like research or exploration?

Thank you

2. then don't chose a path. do whatever the hell you want and don't restrict yourself. you don't need to chose
anything. there's a whole reality out there to explore and there is no "jack of all trades but master of none",
because all skills cap at V anyway.

your problem seems to be that you think you need to choose a path. just forget it. do something. if you don't
like it, do something else. doesn't matter. remove the decision from the equation and see the game as
what it is. a reality you can "live" in and act as whoever you want.

if you want to make money and have fun, find a ganker you can assist as scanner/looter and go with him
on a ganking roam. that would probably be me, btw. ^_^

that's work, needs concentration, situational awareness and it's actually really fun to do.

Yea you are right, in normally like to have a path and have some structure to it which is my problem with most MMOs that I play. I just like to know what I am doing, otherwise I feel like I am aimlessly wandering around space

Set yourself goals. One big goal, for example fly a freighter/carrier/titan/paladin whatever you want and little goals to get there. That definitely helps.
