Just like Kestrel turned into Manticore or Tristan turned into Nemesis, Why not a similar transformation with Regular Battleships to Black Ops:

1.- SBs are frigates that shoot Battleship grade weapons, so BO's could have Citadel Torpedo Launchers.
2.- 3D models should also be redone to get that super cool cutting edge look that Black Ops ships should have! just like SB's
3.- And above all, COVERT OPERATIONS CLOAKING DEVICE!!!!!

I know Steal Bombers where re done because we all have seen real stealth bombers and look so bad ass, but shouldn't we have the same with Black Ops!?!?

And about point #3, its enough of a pain to train for a Semi- Capital ship that is supposed to be Covert Ops, that cannot cloak and warp! i mean come on! This is a fragment of the Widow's Description:

Black Ops battleships are designed for infiltration and espionage behind enemy lines. With the use of a short-range jump drive and a portal generator, they are capable of making a special type of jump portal usable only by covert ops vessels. This enables them to stealthily plant reconnaissance and espionage forces in enemy territory. For the final word in clandestine maneuvers, look no further.

I leave This to your kind consideration!

Thank you for a Great Game!

Peace!

1. God no.
2. Sure, why not.
3. I want black ops to be niche, if you give them cov ops cloak they'll be doctrines built around it because it's A FREAKING BATTLESHIP WITH STEALTH.

Sneak a Anatherma behind whatever you want and the blackops can get to it without ever being seen, that's sneaking.

Anything that moves is pretty well immune to citadel torps. So is anything smaller than a POS. Why would you want to put them on a battleship?

Ok, you've made your point so, I take #1 back, what about the rest?

#2 sure.

#3 I'm leaning toward yes since they already have doctrine built around them since they all have jump drives. But i'm still not completely sure about it.

I opened this post thinking it would be something...
A: that is actually a cool idea.
B: something that shows ones inability to fit a good ship.

As it turned out, I should have included...
C: rediculous failure to understand the difference between a Battleship and Frigate.

I think You fail to realize that the purpose of a Black ops ship is not to sneak in and destroy carriers that are running havens in 0.0 but to bridge mass amounts of stealth bombers and recons on top of an enemy.

Warping while cloaked would be Way Overpowered but at the same time, The ability to bridge and jump to a covert cyno is a huge 1up on just simply warping covertly.

Man! EVE's Players' Egos! If they were bricks you could build Dubai II in a week! someones of us are still learning... anyway, thanks for the advice, I guess point 2 remains as the only suitable option for any redo to BOs, I might add, a redo for all T2 ships would be nice anyway...

Peace everyone!
