Image sigs were awesome back on the old forums.

I actually agree here and was wondering when someone would bring this up again. Does the web team really spend so much time on making each expansion's feature page that they can't fix this? What was wrong with them in the first place that made us lose the animations? The file size seriously couldn't have been that much larger if they were being hosted locally.

I also want image based signatures back.

Cumplecorns were glorious....now it's just a link.

I agree with this they added a good amount of character to the forums and often made me smile.

Start wide, expand further, and never look back

Attention/Question

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

I can understand that they haven't put image tags back in since most sane browsers throw a fit if you feed them mixed-security content, but just keeping the old smileys is such a ridiculously quick and easy fix that I don't get why someone didn't do it back in the day. Is the competition over the office coffee machine really that intense that the 10 seconds it would take to put them back makes such a big difference?

The emoticons were animated, before? There were signature banners, once? There used to be an image link that showed the image in the post?

I always thought it was kind of a cheap-assed rinky-dinky forum, but now I see, it's just broken... Damn... I guess CCP's web forums budget was slashed to balance the Dust budget?

NO! WAIT! The Web Master, made off with all of the ISK and took all of the animated emoticons, banners, and other cool effects with him to another website!!!! CCP's been Awoxed!

Watch this space.  New exciting signature in development.

you have no idea how messed up the new forum release was.

in hindsight it was one of the many straws that eventually helped on broking the camel's back, back then.

You mean when they took a working open source forum package, and then broke it so badly, by removing the security features and implementing their own, that anybody could login in as someone else by merely altering a cookie? Good times Roll

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

New emoticons from scratch designed around not animating would be the least the could do
