How might someone contact the Bloody Hands of Matar ?

Do they have a faction representative ?

Or are they strictly a baseline organisation ?

Years ago they were an actual corp in game but I don't think that any of those characters still exist.

The don't currently have any representation in game, due to the fact that the corporation name was taken by a player. The same thing happened with The Defiants and several other groups, as such they have no official lines of contact.

This is why we kind of prefer it when people don't take the names of individuals or organizations that are featured in prime fiction, as it makes it difficult for us to properly utilize them.

Do you think that you could get permission from IA or whoever to, if the corps are inactive, have the names changed to include a dot, and then take the actual corp name for the events team's purposes?

If these corps are owned by players who haven't played the game in years (which appears to often be the case with a lot of cool corp/character names) it would seem a little odd if you wouldn't be allowed to make a minor change like that. Changing a corp name shouldn't muck with too much internally, I would think, since tickers and names are just labels applied to a numeric corp ID?

Awww, and I wanted an exclusive!

Though, Morwen Lagann might have a point, Isn't it against the Naming policy, to "impersonate NPCs for the purposes of misleading other players" ?

No offense, but CCP should have done a proper job of safeguarding those names. We'll gladly give the Defiants back, but we had to make sure no Amarr would take them and troll us with them. ;)

To be honest I think players just outright shouldn't be allowed to take the names of in-game entities like BHoM or The Defiants.
