I think CCP should make it possible to anchor Small POS Towers and Small POS Towers only in Hidden Belts.

The Small POS Tower would be anchored to objects such as Giant Snake - Shaped Asteroids. Being able to locate a POS in such a manner would actually allow for more POS to be built in high sector thus boosting the market for such items.

I also think that being able to create artificial anchoring locations would also increase the market need for POS related items.

The artificial POS Anchor Point would be nothing more than a large cylinder deployed by a hauler or freighter (Its over all volume is close to 30k)

The Anchor Point then assembles itself using Rogue Drone and Sleeper Technology that mimic the gravity of a Moon.

Such locations would not be allowed to be built within 2 AU of a NPC station or within 100km of another player owned station.

SO you want to be able to 'take' a belt in hisec with a tiny gun..oh wait, it won't aggro them.. whats the point?

Aaaaand when the belt despawns your tower unanchors? heh =]

Actually, I wouldn't mind more options for anchoring POSs. Only being able to anchor on moons isn't broken or anything. There are plenty of moons. I think, though, it would make for some interesting cosmetic options. I would not support the ability to anchor one in a hidden belt, though. I think that would introduce a broken mechanic. But, it could be interesting to allow for some different options for anhoring, like in non-harvestable nebulas or around large, rotating asteroids, or even over a planet's rings. Nothing functionally beneficial. Just some really nice screenshot opportunities. Big smile

A POS revamp has been in discussion for a while. I believe CCP Soundwave said they are considering lifting the requirements for anchoring among lots of other changes.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.
