they already did reply in some interview. they cant/wont do it because reasons.

It's something the art and graphics teams are pushing for internally according to answers given about this at Fanfest. I don't see why they would suddenly turn around on this.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

Just found this post.

This seems like a strange thing to say - The graphics and art teams both mentioned that this could be an optional pack and that there would be relatively little work involved. @CCP Soundwave , if you're reading this, the maintenance cost would be offset quite well by the added publicity you could get from for example fan videos. Also, people playing on older laptops aren't even using the current high settings so if you're worried about that, i'd make EVE a wireframe game so that you can play it on the BBC Micro or something... If you have scalable options, use them! Less people would be able to use tesselation effectively than 4k textures but tesselation is still being developed.

If you can scale it properly, include it. Don't hold back on stuff just because some people can't use it, they already enjoy EVE as it is anyway.

If you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all...

CCP has relied many times. They said it is WIP and will likely happen.

Soundwave is a Nullbear isn't he?

I can see from his perspective fighting in HUGE fights that good graphics are pointless. But for all of us not fighting in Nul and have decent computers it would be nice.

Saying that, what would the minimum system requirements be for the new graphics pack?
