I am looking into becoming a freighter for players across Eve, and I am going through some practice trials my friends are giving me. When I'm ready, how do I promote my services to others for employment?

From the ashes of our defeat, we will be reborn. With these chains with which we are bound, we will become indivisible. To those who showed us no mercy, we will give no sympathy. For the flames that burn our cities, we will douse in injustice's blood

That's a tough one. Industrials are accessible to you, but they're also accessible to everyone else. Others, who specialize in this stuff, go for Blockade Runners(in the dangerous areas) and freighters, or jump freighters. There's a lot of haulers out there. People will be disinclined to recall an individual hauler, particularly when they're limited to a smaller-hold industrial. Rather, they recognize the hauling organizations.

So you might consider joining a hauler corp. There's the 'frog alliances, which I think others can tell you about.

Another way to be a hauler is to help run logistics for a combat corporation. They're in demand in nullsec and lowsec, but it's more demanding of your SP. Realistically you'd need a freighter, or jump freighter, but you might get away with a little bit of small-hauling in a blockade runner.

If you want to be more independent, then it behooves you to take up trading. Haul for yourself, not others. This has the dual benefit of getting involved in the most lucrative aspect of eve. Trading makes potentially more profit than anything else.

The 'Haulers Channel' may be a good resource for what you're looking for.

But generally, it's the loads that get promoted, and you accept the ones you're interested in.

Make a post advertising your services on the forums, and after hand as people use your services you can ask them to post and vouch for you.

But i would also go for the option someone else mentioned, join a corp/alliance that already does these things. The only ones i can think about that does this kind of work and has a good reputation for doing it is Red/Black/Blue Frog.

This. Haulers Channel is not only a good way of constantly being offered contracts by players, it is a very good way to get your stuff moved. I've found it to be much faster than any of the freight-hauling services and most of the haulers are just freelance pilots looking to make isk.
