Drone ditching alarm

As a miner, I often guard my barge with a swarm of drones. Unfortunately, I'll sometimes forget the drones. I'd like to see an alert added when warping with drones deployed.

Are you asking for an "are you sure?" pop-up? That will get lots of people killed and is a terrible idea. An audio alert would be much less intrusive, but would quickly become annoying and most players have audio completely disabled anyway.

Basically, just stop forgetting your drones. I think it's only fair that you should be penalised for forgetting to recall them. Did you know you can warp back on grid and re-connect with them? Just Right-click the capacitor wheel and the option is there.

No such thing will be done. Where's the learning experience? You forget something, you lose it , somebody else can take it.

1. drugs are bad mkay.
2. if you don't forget your drones that would never happen
3. if you do forget your drones I should have an alarm that tells me that there are abandoned drones that I should go and scoop
4. ???
5. profit!

a new mechanic was introduced last summer.

it recalls drone automatically when you warpout with them outside.

it's not like the magical probes tho, so the drones still have to travel back.

i would say you really have poor drones skills for them not to be back in time, because drones will usually get rid of rats n no time, then go back orbiting your ship

mining barges take ages to warp, so drones really have long enough to come back provided they are not already orbiting you (in such case, they go in almost instantaneously).

That would be nice. but rather than the game asking you if you are sure, it would just tell you '' you are warping without your drones''

So much of my time saved from manually hunting down drones because I'm a terrible, forgetful, drone pilot. You, sir, are a saint!

Got to love our core of posters who will react negatively to any and all requests for a quality of life improvement. This affects no one and nothing adversely, unless you are following people around in the hopes that they forget their drones in non-combat situations.

I swear, there is a group that think CCP should send ninjas to rig all EVE player's keyboards with needles so that inputting even simple commands comes at the cost of blood.

When everyone else runs the risk of their guns and launchers randomly falling off their ship when they warp off, we can call it quits on wanting a simple alarm on drones still being in space when we warp.

Also, drone auto-recall, so far as I am aware, only works when you emergency warp upon disconnect. It is a huge help, but it's not like it happens every time to hit a gate or warp to a bookmark.

Can my alarm come in the form of my self-aware drones crying "Mama? MAAMAA!" in a synthetic child's voice? Big smile

CCP Falcon:  This thread is terrible.

Bwahahahahahahaha!!!

I would so do this, just to mess with people mining near me.
(Teamspeak could relay the alarm if nothing else does)
