Skills to make a valuable char in 30days?

AS title says.

Steam is currently doing a sale in the summer sale for Eve, so going on worst case and only getting the 30days from the purchase.

What skills can I train within those 30days to make a valuable char to sell on the bazaar?

Any thoughts?

It costs money to transfer character ownership, or 2 plex, worth over a billion ISK. A 1 month character will not usually break even.

In fact, many characters have a hard time breaking even, but I think that 3 months of training is the bare minimum to try and make any profit at all.

Even if the game was free you wont make money selling a month old char

It was worth a thought at the sale price :)

Why would anyone buy a one month character for more than a single PLEX these days with dual account training?

Steam had a sale on a Amarr explorers bundle for EVE. 30days gametime and the Amarr starter pack for £3.49, hence my post.

Very worthwhile to start an alt account. But ass already stated transferring the character to another account has significant cost. 2 PLEX is over 1 billion isk as already stated. or I believe it is $20 which is the cost of a single PLEX in cash.

A 1 month old character would be worth about the same as a PLEX, since anyone can buy a PLEX and use the dual training feature to train that alt up on their own. Even if training the alt up for your own use it is cheaper to PLEX for the dual training than pay the character transfer fee.

This is possible if you use the power of two deal to get a 6 month account for about half price. Character would sell for 3-4 billion. If done right you could make about 1 Bil profit. But that is not much for 6 months work.

If you know what you're doing you can get more than 4b; 5-6 depending on which way you choose to go. The hard part is knowing what will be hot and FOTM in 6 months. It used to be fairly easy, but right now, though we can speculate, we don't know what the game is going to look like, so it is a bit of a risk.

Yes training just the right skills you can sell for 5-6 bil.

But even just raining the basics, all the fitting skills, cyno, cloaking, PI, some research and manufacturing. Basically get the basic skills every character needs, then add some skills common for alts, research alts, cyno alts, manufacturing alts, or my favorite, ganking alts. These sell like hot cakes, as a lot of gankers do not want to ruin security status of their main. A character that can fly a Talos, with T2 blasters, and use damage mods for max DPS, will sell really fast as a ganker alt. Throwing in stuff everyone needs like basic trading and cyno skills, will make the character useful even when not filling their primary role.

if a potential buyer can see that the character not only covers their primary need, but has a lot of additional utility they can use, even if they do not need it, your character will sell before the character without the added utility.

Not really true, many players will hold it against a character that it has "wasted" SP. This is particularly true of industry/carebearing skills. Most buyers are looking for specialization, and specialization is what draws premiums.

Not mentioned, its a niche, but lucrative market, and that is clean hotdrop alts. Basic plan would be a stealth bomber with covert cyno. Pricier options are rapier with covops cyno, or a heavy dictor, both of which require appropriate tank skills. The best part is there is a constant need, as it doesn't take long for a clean hotdrop alt to become dirty, (Too many kills, set red everywhere of interest to the owner) at which point the owner sells it off, and buys a new one.
