He passed away last year.

The performance was originally planned to have him dressed up as a cowboy but the Soviets nixed that. It's a shame. It would have been even more hilarious. Lol

Yeah, and the song originally had lyrics about a cowboy riding the range, and his girl back home making socks for him. Soviets banned the American-theme lyrics. So instead he just sang trolololo.

It just goes to show-- Everything happens for a purpose. Smile
