I'd like to see a Thin Client allowing Skill changes only.

and...

Pay reduced Monthly subscription say 5 quid (50% what it currently is.)... and allow to continue skill training at Double the normal time (i.e 7 day training taking 14 days) , manageable only through that thin client.

it would allow extended breaks but continue skill managment at a penalised rate. Sometimes Real Life prohibits (family, ISP, Moving etc...)

The Thin client could even come on a Eve Branded USB stick and plug in any where, even on holiday.

It's a game. If RL gets in the way, that's kind of a good thing. EVE will be here when you get back, and you won't be any worse than you were when you left.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

...Helpful addition to a legitimate idea.

what is this penalised rate you mention? Half the cost of the game for being able to train at twice the speed is a huge increase. If you're paying half the rate then you should train at half speed or slower and not be able to log in to the proper client.

yet more people wanting training time reduced why not just have everyone start with all the none T2 ship skills at level 5 and be done with it or get rid of sp and get experience for killing rats instead and we can let people use macros to do it for them and we could change it from a space ship game to a fantasy game on a planet and it'll only take a few days to get all the best stuff and be max level and wouldn't that be fun

Half the cost for training at twice the time ?

7 days = 14 days ?

not the other way round.

But more importantly to allow skill changing when not able to be near a PC with EvE's Heavy requirements to get past the launcher.

Other than the thin client, what you suggest is already more-or-less possible... just subscribe for half the time you're gone and train at the regular rate.

I think asking for a separate client might be a bit much, but I wouldn't be surprised if managing your skill queue from a web interface was eventually a reality.

maybe they could make eve gate useful and let you change skills from there.

This idea is stupid and CCP will never make happen.
Double training rate will make people unsub their mains so they can train faster.
It will create a rift between using a good char or training it faster and much like with +5 implants this will not be a combat enabler.

Some people already play train queue online, if CCP does this they lose a lot of subs.

The only thing I'd agree upon is that it would be nice if you could add skills to train on evegate.

Other than that you really didn't think this through.

EvE-Mail me if you need anything.

Reading comprehension fail #2. (Granted it's worded oddly.)
