Salvaging Drones

This idea is probably old as sin but its new to my brain.

Two new drone types.

Salvage Drones:
Simple drones an have a range between 20-30 KM depending on skills possibly that will salvage a wreck. Far slower than a true salvage turret.

Container Retrieval Drone
A drone that will haul and unanchored cargo container toward your ship or perhaps slowly empty a container of items into your hold space allowing.

Why?

Just another option to allow for salvaging without having to switch ships. I'm often mining and rats will come, get destroyed and then their wreck just sit there. I wonder why my lil drones can't be more versatile.

I don't see this game balance breaking in anyway just allows us to expand Drone versatility further.

Why did you have a range? thats a stat of a pilot not the drone.

Also its more of a mechanics and cpu issue than balance.

If you do want to throw balance may I then state that this is a role stomping idea, youll obsolete a class of ships.

Yes, it's old as sin.

It's so old, actually, that CCP even introduced them. And deleted them since the server didn't like it or something.

Since we now got the Noctis and Marauders, there is almost no chance at all that CCP will ever consider reintroducing them.

Well that settles that. Another idea fed to the idea furnace. Oh well, I'm sure with 3-4 years of intensive therapy I'll recover.

Wouldn't it be cute if the drones, once having salvaged something, had to come back to the ship like a little puppy to drop off the salvage?
