What's the matter, GM Thunder? Did you get recruitment scammed by a member of the CFC alliances and decide that you should instead change the entire rules of the game?

Scamming has never been against the rules in EvE online and this is a blatant, transparent abuse of authority from someone who is obviously biased because they are actively playing a game they should be administrating instead. You should be ashamed of yourself.

why is a GM interfering with a (even if it was a) scam that doesn't involve real money trading? they say this a sandbox or CCP has been lying to me all these time?

new player here, i've only been in the game for a couple of months and one of the reasons why i did chose this game over any other mmos out there is that this is a sandbox. if we are dumb enough to get scammed, it's our own fault!

Are CCP planning to change the title to World of Eve on the upcoming winter patch?

bolded the important part. CCP is pandering to the wrong demographic with some of the changes, but they're getting better (see: Incarna vs Winter Expansion).

It would be good if a CCP employee could give their line on this and whether this is a legitimate change to the recruitment channel rules or a GM overstepping their authority, and a confirmation of its reversal if that's the case.

If it is a legitimate change, I'd like to state my dismay and disappointment in this change.

I'd like to say I'm 100% behind this decision. For too long entities such as TEST and Goons have exploited the trust of the playerbase, and inflicted misery for their own amusement. This is why I'm leaving TEST and joining Xystance's 99% alliance.

My new corporation, Madness and Danger Offensive (ticker:MADOFF) will explain and educate about recruitment scamming, lotteries and "investment banks"; the average player will not only be more savvy about the darker corners of Eve, but eventually will be able to turn the tables on the scammer with their own scams.

For free logistics and transportation to our headquarters, courier contract ships and items to me in game. Buy-ins for percentage of profits from the MADOFF Lottery are available at 250 million per share, please make the donation reason MADOFF LOTTERY.
