We are painfully aware of this and believe me: it hurts to see such epic battles, which are not found anywhere else in the whole gaming industry, being cut off like this.

We want to give you the servers, tools and environment to create and enjoy such epic moments to its fullest extend, that is what our dream and passion is about - destroying such battles just to influence the course of the in-game actions, however, is not what we do.

Thats bullshit and you know it fountian hasn't run better then 50% tidi in any fight because you idiots can't run servers.

I'm tempted to go all Goon-like with statements such as "U mad bro?" and the like. I mean, certain personages who have mocked others for taking the game too seriously are now raging in this thread. It's almost like said persons are being hypocritical. Lol

In any case, I believe there's only one fair solution CCP can enact: simply destroy all ships that were in space in the system in question at the time of the node switching error. Screw both sides equally. Twisted

I was driving my T20 when the server crashed.

Coincidence?

Yeah. Ok. Just going to accept basically nothing will be done.

Not surprising.

Yes, we did. We were popping your carriers as fast as we could target them. So yeah, weren't even running out of ammo doing them. So yeah, we were in no danger of not dropping all of your god damned carriers.

Laugh and smile today for tomorrow we shall weep and roar.

Got to say, I'm enjoying the smug posting from N3 and TEST.

Because getting kicked off the server to save your ships is a victory right ?

In spite of all the idiots sperging on this thread, I have one honest question: Why weren't the tackled capital ships still there when we logged back in?

They were in warp disruption bubbles with agro timers. According to everything I know about logoff mechanics, they should not have moved anywhere, regardless of server crashes, characters log offs, or any amount of tinfoil.

I'm willing to accept that it was a simple mistake and there was no foul play, but only if you can give us a solid explanation for why the carriers disappeared from the field, in contradiction to well-established logoff mechanics.

Please explain CCP.

So is there going to be a quiz about what services you can't move without crashing a node? Anyone who doesn't get a perfect score gets kicked in the nuts and has to clean toilets.

Its exactly what you just did, tell us again how TEST was about to reimburse all those caps, or show up for the next timer(s)?

CCP you just ****** one of the largets fleet battels in eve history... THANKS!

In the attempt to improve the overall fight quality and node stability in the Z9PP system at 22:41 UTC by moving away all non-critical services from this node, our engineers unfortuntely made a mistake and actually moved the critical system from the current server node instead of moving all other systems. As result every pilot in this system lost connection to the node and therefore to Tranquility.

The system Z9PP is online and accessible again now.

It is extremely unfortunate to make such a mistake and we apologize deeply for disrupting one of the truly epic battles in the history of EVE; especially since this battle already raged on for several hours and was still heating up for more! We are very sorry about this incident and will make sure that such mistakes won't happen again.

so you guys were doing your job and over 6 hours still managed to keep the server going and made a human error due to fatigue...

i think people should be thanking ccp that they kept it up for that long...

heck i remember back in 06 a 400 man fight was unheard of. let alone 2100+

I remember over 1000+ fights in 04, so you I do not know where you got your information from.

Why bother, you'd accomplish more by getting in a Lyris siegefleet.

As long as the node doesn't get remapped as you're shooting a structure, that is.

This.

We'll trade them for the metric ****-ton of CFC dreads we've had tackled when a node crashed and the pilots refused to log back in.
