You guys are seriously butthurt about this. Stop getting pissed at CCP for this. Mistakes happen. They created this great game that you play and enjoy. You will have another fight soon enough.

In the attempt to improve the overall fight quality and node stability in the Z9PP system at 22:41 UTC by moving away all non-critical services from this node, our engineers unfortuntely made a mistake and actually moved the critical system from the current server node instead of moving all other systems. As result every pilot in this system lost connection to the node and therefore to Tranquility.

The system Z9PP is online and accessible again now.

It is extremely unfortunate to make such a mistake and we apologize deeply for disrupting one of the truly epic battles in the history of EVE; especially since this battle already raged on for several hours and was still heating up for more! We are very sorry about this incident and will make sure that such mistakes won't happen again.

You're right, you improved the node stability, but there is no more fight ...

Amazing how the node broke after long time nearly 4 hours of 10% TIDI and the system reache 2250 in local.... it just crashed in the moment when 90% of the TEST subcaps where Welped and the CAP where about to die.

DO WE REALLY HAVE TO PAY FOR A GAME WHERE THE DEV CAN DECIDE WHO LICE OR DIE?

Apparently so. If you unsub TEST wins.

You need to have some serious reviews to prevent these problems from impacting the sandbox gameplay you tout as a core feature.

that is a pretty lame excuse. We've been having massive battles in the same systems for weeks now, there is just no excuse as to why they're not reinforced already.

CFC Capital fleet gets saved by a boo boo 3 or 4 times, TEST grumbles and gets on with their lives.

TEST Capital fleet gets saved by a boo boo, and the SA Furries and their pets go on a Posting CTA.

Take the 117 trapped capitals away from the pilots that were trapped. They were dead and you should recognise this, I think!

But yeah this was a mistake on CCP's side, an unfortunate mistake, and people calling ~THREADNOUGHT DEV ALLIANCE PLZ IGNORE~ are dumb

Human error guys, honest mistake that saved an entire cap fleet.

Oh, well. When you put it like that. I guess everything is alright.

Their bad.

Realpost: This failure is something that has infuriated quite a few hard working FC's and logisticians who worked HOURS on that engagement.

Thousands, literally thousands, of pilots cheated of the greatest fight of this war so far.

The person who hit that button just ruined everything this game is built up to be for so many people.

Not to mention the people who have been watching this war. This isn't a win for either side.

The people who won today... CCP, they still have my money.

I feel robbed.

In spite of all the idiots sperging on this thread, I have one honest question: Why weren't the tackled capital ships still there when we logged back in?

They were in warp disruption bubbles with agro timers. According to everything I know about logoff mechanics, they should not have moved anywhere, regardless of server crashes, characters log offs, or any amount of tinfoil.

I'm willing to accept that it was a simple mistake and there was no foul play, but only if you can give us a solid explanation for why the carriers disappeared from the field, in contradiction to well-established logoff mechanics.

Please explain CCP.

Props to the one test guy I expected to be crowing the loudest for understanding this could have happened to either of us.
