Pirate Ship Skills

"Pirate Faction" .... "Frigate", "Cruiser" & "Battleship"

Equivalent training time as learning 2 types of equivalent ship class.

Equivalent augmentations.

For use as option to current dual race skills.

Does not stack with current dual race ship augmentations.

Does not open up other races' ships, purely "Pirate Faction".

---

Ideally sold as a Pirate LP store item. At worst, NeX, as it's primarily intended as a vanity/RP-centric skill.

I like it, though practically, it would probably need to take you faster to train this skill than say two racial skills, else it will likely not be seeing much use. Perhaps set the skill at the same training time as one racial equivalent.

Unfortunately, training time needs be balanced with bonuses provided by skills the dual race elements of the current skill scheme.

You get bonuses for race X and bonuses from race Y. One pays for the degree of bonus in training time, therefore an equivalent training time seems necessary to make it fair to people who've already invested SP into dual skill training paths.

So let me get this straight. I could train Angel firgates to V for a dramiel and a dramiel alone, or I could train minnie and gallente frigs to V in the exact same time, for the exact same bonuses on a dram, and with access to what, a dozen other t2 and faction frigs?

Remind me again why anyone would ever just train a pirate skill?

Honestly? Vanity & RP.

Alternately one could lower training times, given the limited use of the skill beyond the faction. However the intent of the idea is not to nerf or devalue skill training times already invested.

you could make if give a very small buff like angel frigate can give a 1% damage buff to small turrets per level for a max of 5% dmg
u get RP and usefulness without breaking pirate ships

That suggestion seems fairly reasonable, yet what would you suggest for the other pirate factions & ship classes (frigate, cruiser, battleship)?
