Brave Newbies' new fleet doctrine is armor procurers. Expect to see a lot of them getting blown up and demand around the Amarr region skyrocketing.

Exploding procurers should make a lot of investors happy. They have been overstocked for a long time..

This community is an excellent resource for new and "long in the tooth" traders/industrialists/miscreants alike. I highly recommend it. Stop by.

Fit quality and efficiency is NOT guaranteed!

Some veterans have been on dialysis setups and caffeine drips and havent undocked since drones caused major TiDi.

I've also heard claims in channel that the new industrial changes will make hauling more fun.

Indeed..

CCP_Rise is on the free credit for drinks list these days..

the new industrials will be very interesting indeed. He just changed the bay skill percentage bonus to 10% per skill levele, so even more variety. Really going to be great for production, and no more 1 King of indies.

Now he just needs to realize that Orca and Rorq needs a purpose boost, and a generalist nerf to fit these changes.

please expound your thoughts regarding the orca

if you think it could be split into industry/non industry versions, I would love you

if you want it to become all industry, I.... I can only hope that doesn't happen.

After the tengu (HM) nerf, I won't be able to take it if they nerf another of my fav ships. I love this ship the way it is. I have no doubt that Caleb has some devious orca uses up his sleeve, but the phrase "generalist nerf" makes me uncomfortable!

Any colour you like.

The split would be fairly simple, and leave room for a new ship type that is more a logistic and fleet support ship than an actual industrial ship.

The Support Carrier Class. Would be like the carriers, but with more modulation purposes using bays. Ideally a universal boost to bay functions could make this new type of new ship unnecessary. The idea is to have bays for Ammo, Ships, and Corp Hangar, with rigs and bonuses to boost the sizes. Thus taking over the swizz army knife role of the Orca. The price range should be similar to the Orca, thus bringing it in as a sort of step between a Dominix and a Thanatos.

Back to the main topic. Orca and Rorq would become true WET freight ships and industrial support only. The key issues would be to get a proper ORE bay on the Orca, and also a Mineral Bay. Same on the Rorq but size swapped.

Orca : ORE 250k / Mineral 50k (adjusted with skills and specialized rigs to max around 500k and 100k)

Rorq: ORE 50k / Mineral 250k (adjusted as above to reach 100k and 500k) The ORE bay would be for new boosted compressed ORE. The new compressed ORE would make the containing isk/m3 compete with any current compression work arounds, and thus become the true import/export solution.

The last huge new thing would be to add a Time sink on recycling and refining. Based on the value using avg universal values. So piles would refine at approx 5 million isk per minute, and recycle at around 1 million isk per minute. These values boosted and adjusted by skills, and quality of module.

The Rorq and Orca would both be able to install compression and recycle modules. Thus effectively making them capable of truly working as the cornerstones of industry of ALL levels.

The on ship refine/recycle and compression modules would ofc be a bit less effective than station and POS services.

ok... all i want is some CPU and PG and I'd be happy. not even gonna ask for transfer range bonuses or a bigger drone bay/ + bandwidth... you lost me with the time sink refining thing

If we are dreaming a bit. I would like to see a new type of drones.

Transport drones. That work like a drone version of a tractor beam, and secondarily add a boost to all transfer ranges.

Should be a bit slower than tractors.

The range boost would be 50% per drone in space.
