I am not sure how to read this:
1. So are you saying not that we are brainless, but we need to get rid of our brain?
2. Are you saying that we are ONLY brains? (Brains in a jar, ala futurama!)
3. Your head has a zipper on it? Dude, if your head has a zipper on it, GO SEE A DOCTOR.

That being said, I know this was intended to be humorous, (I mean teh funny, not the arm bone!) however, it skirts awfully close to the "harassment" of ISD/CCP.

I am going to assume #3 as that makes me not feel obligated to unleash my mighty sword - ahem - No sword? - ugh - alright - my mighty Toothpick of Doom upon you.

Yes, I agree 100% with the OP. The Evelopedia definitely needs a very extensive and complete updating.

In fact, for about a year now players haven't been able to access the Evelopedia page - My Preferences - to even do some updating / editing.

CCP has been aware of that issue for some time now.

I've changed my mind.

EVElopedia makes an excellent museum to how sh*tty our ships and modules, especially Cruisers, used to be.

Now we have a link for our annoying (In my day) stories.

Evelopedia is constantly wrong and inaccurate.

There is an ISD community that can do it because you are too cheap too. Make it happen, because it is honestly embarassing that the 3rd parties you wanted to charge to develop applications to interact with your API can develop content for you. Yet, your own simple services like, "what is this." Is completely wrong.

Solution...

http://www.wowhead.com/

And it's not just because it's a data house for all things WoW. It's because of all the features you can use off site (like the hover links for gear), that makes other fan sites so interactive. A blog is going to use Wowhead links also because it's a central storehouse for all things WoW.

And it's for free. Fan sites aren't charged to access it, and players are allowed to edit it -- and most importantly -- can leave comments to help other players (stuck on a mission, find the mission link, and check the responses and tips from other players is the potential).

Even better, the site isn't slow as molasses to load (despite the 1000001 ads). EvE has too many sites that run like they're on dial up (looking at you Battleclinic).

It was entirely meant to be humorous. Especially since I applied for one of the new jobs as forum moderator...(It's been awhile and I haven't heard anything so I assume that means no thanks)...

don't assume that. Remember us ISD are ALL volunteers and this is not our day job....or any job. :D

Shameless plug:

for the new players who want to discover the trading / markets and softwares for EvE Online, I have made a (terribly looking) website with a lot of specific information. It's vastly more updated and organized (from new player to advanced) than the EvEpedia.

Landing EvE page.

Markets / trading page.

I guess that he's suggesting an EVEHead, in the same style.

Personally, I don't think there's anything wrong with the mechanics of our wiki, it just needs some TLC Cool

As my colleague has informed you, we do have a department for this...

I gave up on editing the EVElopedia after I was locked out of it by preferences that switch to an unused alt which doesn't have some kind of required page set up. That is to say, the EVElopedia is as broken as a Microsoft product on release day.

IMHO the major changes required are an update of the static data pages, so that I can refer to wiki pages while at work and not make embarrassing mistakes such as recommending a laser pilot fly a Prophecy or Armageddon.
