I wasn't sure the appropriate section to put this question, but I'm having an issue.

A corporation is having trouble joining my alliance. They WERE aggressors in a war about 27 hours ago, but they surrendered in order to join the alliance. The war has now been ended for several hours, but the game still blocks them from joining the alliance.

When they attempt it, they get a message that says "You cannot join an alliance while Aggressor in a war".


I also noticed that while their aggressor war is finished, it still lists on their wars. It also still lists them as in Faction Warfare, even though they left that more than a week ago.


Does anyone know the specific rules about joining an alliance if you are allied to others? They have several ally efforts going, but I was given to understand that wouldn't block the corp from joining.


So, for the TL;DR

The aggressor war has been ended for awhile, but they still can't join.

Even though they pulled out of faction warfare, they are still listed as part of the Militia.

They are allies to several defenders in other wars.

I already have one petition in, and I've waited 27 days on that one for another alliance issue.


I thought that if the mechanics were known, someone could say. That way I don't have to wait another month for an alliance issue.


"Sorry guys, we can't advance as a group because CCP doesn't feel like answering petitions".


So the question still isn't answered.



This is EVE. Someone has done this before and knows the answer.
