CCP Falcon tells me (in Live Events channel) that the medal progress is being delayed.

Given that this brief announcement was right after we got hit with that DDOS attack, I don't mind the wait. Better we have intact servers, yeah?

Again, in real-life formal militaries, it can take months or even years for medals to be awarded. Patience is a virtue.

Recommendations:

-enable ships wobbling in hangar view (pre-Captains Quarters)

-add more missions (NPC fleet vs. NPC fleets that actually shoot)

-STOP NERFING EVERYTHING!

This is correct.

I spoke with a few people in the Live Events Channel to let people know that this was the case, but totally forgot about this thread.

I'll add of course that the delay of the medals has nothing to do with the DDoS stuff, we just have a list of things that we're working through in order of priority.

If medals are being handed out for taking part in this event I hope it extends further then whose who were on the capital killlmails.

I was in Luminaire a few hours before the event, and joined the Gallente fleet (that made a 2000km conga line of ships towards the titans before the fight kicked off). Unfortunately once the fight started I landed on grid and my computer froze up due to lag. I logged out and tried to log back in but the system was so full I couldn't get back into the fray, only managing to get back into system once the capital ships had died :(.

I had exactly the same issue, I came to Luminaire earlier the same day, and when the event has actually started I lost connection and could not log back on. +1 for the Twitch stream, at least I could have seen the event :-)

I, personally, don't think you should get a Medal if you fired shots\participated in an aggressive action\repped in the conflict. I was at the gate doing a little jiggle does that mean I contributed and could get a Medal too? Nope I didn't think so. (I actually wasn't, I was at work Cry but at least I'm honest).

If you fired shots\participated in an aggressive action\repped with\on\at the Caldari\Gallente Forces and\or the Shiigeru then you should be awarded IMHO but not for forming a conga line...unless it was a tactical blockade Lol. Just my opinions, nothing more nothing less.

To be fair dcs very common and the system limit capped. Ill probably end up getting an assault on caldari prime medal while I was there to defend the gallente...

Just wanted to make sure CCP was still on top of the Caldari Prime medal, now that Odyssey 1.1 is out.

Recommendations:

I had a conversation with CCP Falcon on 20-SEP-13; they haven't forgotten!

Without quoting him line-by-line (not sure if I'm allowed to do that anyway), Falcon says they should be coming in Odyssey 1.2 or wintertime, depending. They WILL BE PROFILE MEDALS, and the in-game "ribbons" will be removed. As planned, we will get a decoration that will appear on our character sheets with "show-info" data.

Excellent to hear, Falcon. With Rubicon on the horizon, I know you guys will be busy.

We appreciate being kept in the loop! Good luck!

I expect a "Guard of Honor", military band and the full VIP, red carpet treatment when my medal is finally delivered... says so in my contract. Cool
