These modules are indistinguishable to look at on your fitted ships. Much like Microwarpdrives and Afterburners were before their very nice graphical changes.

Suggestion -

Replace the welders mask, on the modules, with an image of an armor plate for the Remote Armor, and an image of a reinforced bulkhead for the Remote Hull. That way, you can tell at a glance, which module does what.

Thanks!

I've brought this up. Others have brought this up.

Literally all they need to do is add the little sideways chevrons that are on the shield transfers to the armor/hull transfer, job done. This isn't even low hanging fruit anymore this is fruit that has fallen off the tree already and is leaning against the dev's foot crying out to be done.

I have always liked the idea of remote armour repair being delivered through a sort of missile system so you are actually firing missiles at a ship you want to rep and the warhead is a load of nanites that get to work on impact.

Not sure about shields though

Bit off topic but nevermind.

I actually like the general idea.

Nanites are Microscopic though, but launching some Nanites at an other ship sounds pretty awesome.

My Condor costs less than that module!

No not exactly, they send out an single engineered kind of photon type of nanite, thats what i always saw, and they can repair the internal structure, or the armor it self

You see repairing the outside will only fix it for a while until your structure gets weak enough it cant hold anymore. like a bridge, you miss one piece of it its bad, because every other parts rely on each other. when your structure get lower you have a few parts of this bridge collapse, when your structure is dying its like pieces of that bridge falling off.....

Thats why remote repairs don't use ammunition, its only energy technically but engineered....

Everyone learns how to look at un realistic things, they cant all look real or it would be lame, we would just be playing another generic game or something :P.....

No i dont like missiles.... armor reps need to be quicker then that at 50km, think about it, it would be so easy to volley ships if it took more then 10 seconds for reps to get on you lols.
Also your local reps.. they use energy. they only us nanites to boost up for the special new modules

Oh and the thread, yes i support new pictures please!!!!!Big smile

Nanites are only robots on the nano scale, nothing else, that means it can be a gas.. energy, light.. same thing yes.. anything really... but i think i like energy more (engineered electricity, i know its possible, added with some kind of memory armor it could work)

Remember your ship is not being broken when your armor gets damaged, its only internal structure by then..... i like to think because you dont lose parts in space lols, like structure :P
