CCP- what r you guys thinking towards marauders? not finished stats, just general role change

Suggestion:
Role Bonus:
Immunity to non-targeted interdiction

Marauder Skill bonus:
+1 Warp strength per level
* one other bonus per skill level

Now it can really "maraud" behind enemy lines


Also, get rid of that weak sensor strength.

They're not more susceptible to:
Turret disruption
Sensor damping
target painting
So why should they be more vulnerable to Caldari ewar?

It would be great for low/null sec PvE

I have always hated how a supposedly more advanced ship has weaker electronics. Sensor strength should be the same as T1, not worse.

They gonna make ships focused on FOrum Pvp. They will be able to gank forum posts.

better not include leaving them as battleships with frigate sensor strength, which just get outclassed by pirate BSes

They'll still be more-or-less outclassed by Pirate BCs in terms of raw improvement over T1. They may, however, finally be good at something better than anything else is good at it.

outclasses is relative. outclasses in raw dps? maybe, but if they arent dps mongers, then revert to my original statement.

i dig t2 stuff. pirate is ok, but im an amarr lover through and through. i dig khanid short range missile boats. i could go caldari, but its not amarr..=)

i just think it needs a role. its own role.

and @fozzie, damnit,
i think we need to know. =)

at least a direction. (and something other than north...lol)

So how about this:

Make Marauders the T3 of the BS hulls. Have them utilize Subsystems just like the t3 cruisers. This could make them very versatile and fun. This versatility would play well with their intended role.

He'll have to reduce its cost somewhat first i imagine much like pirate battleships need to be cheaper.

I wonder how many speculation threads and "Let's rebalance T2" threads will come up between now and CCP announcing how they plan to rebalance T2. I wonder how many of them will basically be extraneous clones of each other. I wonder if I have enough sandwiches to survive the onslaught of repetition. I wonder how many cloak-nerf threads will appear today.

I don't expect marauders to be rebalanced solely around PvP and made unviable for PvE. Personally, I really hate it when that sort of thing gets done. Every ship in the game should be viable for PvP and PvE as well, even if it's a bit of a challenge to use it one way or the other.

Paladins are going to get even prettier, just wait and see. CCP Mintchip has already taken a look at it and says it's amazing. I dunno if she's any judge of anything, but it's the only intel we've got so far. CCP BunnyVirus is very good at denying things and keeping other things secret.

I don't expect pirate battleships to get any cheaper. They're fairly amazing and that's by design. They're not as specialized as T2 ships but they're more powerful in terms of straight-up improvement over T1. They're also somewhat more difficult to get BPCs of.
