I've seen all manner of suggestions and tears and whine about what to do about ganking all those poor HS ice miners (bad goons!) oops, they're all trolls

anyhow... none of those ideas fix the fundamental problem, Ice can only be mined using those paper thin barges and exhumers because the Ice harvesters can only be mounted on those hulls.

What is needed in the new expansion besides the new T2 mods and shiny new ships (thx CCP btw) is one lowly crappy mod that is the ice equivalent of the miner I

no major insurance changes, no change to concord, no new mining ships that tank better (although miners DO need to tank better... remember those ships are ORE based thus Gallente and thus NEED armor tanks) (I'm just sayin)

This mod would allow miners to bear-up a rokh or hyperion or abbadon or maelstrom with a proper tank and the situation changes from being alpha'd by a lone BS to needing 3-4 BSes to kill just one of these... and that quickly becomes an isk sink.
(yes goons say they didn't care about isk, but if they were losing isk on each gank do you think the troops would still be at it??, reimbursement or not, it would have sunk the sec status of far more goons so it would literally be open season all over HS-LS)

Honestly this isn't a goon hate post, it is in fact a congrats to the goon or goons? who figured out a fundamental weakness in the game and chose to take advantage of it. Take a bow, go back to your cave and get the damn miners off my case wanting me to run combat protection for them which is about as effective as putting on the condom after sex....

To CCP, this isn't a real problem and changing the game or adding a mod might be seen as interfering with the sandbox, but as much as those T2 mods like the probe launchers are overdue, the game has quite a fiew niche problem areas that could use some attention, this is just one where the meta zero mod is missing.
