Hi guys, due to me having a crap connection lately down here in Latinamerica I decided to simply force myself to use a permanent personal vpn upon boot using a USA server.

So far everything has been good and my pings are quite decent now in almost everything (can play SCROLLS now lag free yay!)

But was wondering if EVE Online has any issues/EULA/Policies against me logging in using VPNs.? I know some sites are a bit "touchy" with your IP.

Just to be sure. Dunno where else to ask this, move to appropriate sub forum as needed ty! Big smile

Cheers!

CCP is purposely vague on such topics.

Chances are if you are not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about, but that doesn't mean you won't set off automated alarms and lose a month of gametime while CCP investigates and finds you innocent.

CCP does track IP addresses, just check your login history on the account management pages: Account -> View Account Activity

It may look odd if you are New York an hour after being in London, which can happen with some VPN.

I played under a VPN from 2008-2010. You should be fine. If CCP ganks your account, just politely explain the situation to them and let them investigate.

Just to be on the safe side I sent them a petition regarding this issue. Big smile

My ISP has been so bad lately, I was not able to play many games without high lag, random DC´s and other atrocious absurdities. If this was other country I would simply switch, but well ... no option for me here.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Cheers!
