Faction warfare, PvP, LP gains...

Hi

In my opinion, LP gains for pvp fw kills should be greatly increased as it currently sits next to peanuts compared to LP gains for just sitting on your ass capturing sites or running missions.

The finding and efficient killing of enemy players is most likely the toughest and riskiest trade in the game and hardly gets the rewards it deserves for what was supposed to be a PvP oriented system in the first place.

Believe it or not, I came to FW to primarily PVP while engaging in territorial control politics.

But chasing around farming carebear nooblet alts around all day long is not what I signed up for, and neither was it its intended purpose I believe.

So my suggestion for this is to simply favour those who actually go out of their way to solo or form epic fleets and put real effort into the game to make territorial pvp happen, rather than favouring the farming carebears, per usual, the ones avoiding everything as much they can for personal gains.

To tell you the truth, Im that close to going the other side myself by having my main effectively go full pirate and having nooblet alts abuse the system mentioned above, because it would be simply be that much more easy, fun and profitable...

And to me, that fact alone shows something's not quite right with the system somewhere.

So CCP, my suggestion is simple:

Upgrade LP gains for FW pvp kills (however you see fit) to give FW people a better purpose to control and kill eachother more, reduce the site capture LP incentive, and make it more about real political control than just about isk-making ...

Thank you.

No. It will be abused like it was before. What they need to do is provide more value to actually upgrading systems in FW space, provide more incentives. This way we have more reasons to kill eachother.

I agree that the warp core farmers are annoying. But it is a fact of FW and no matter what we do, these losers will always try to find a way to not pvp in a pvp based system.

Then howabout making the FW rank system affect it more ?

Ranks could perhaps be exclusively awarded collectively by system upgrading through alliance efforts and such, and then in return LP gains per kill and capture increased through rank upgrades ?

That would deter farming nooblet fags from just capping business, since they're not contributing **** to the overall system.

No matter what you do, as long as you leave an opening where players can easily farm LP from faction warfare complexes they'll keep doing it.

I don't care what else you do, but at a minimum there ought to be a timer rollback when a pilot leaves the complex or moves out of range. I believe the rollback should happen at double the capture rate, but I guess that's just a personal preference. But if all the warp core stabalized ship (or empty ships even) have to do is run away and come right back once opposition is gone then they'll keep doing it. If it rolled back every time, they'd be much less likely to do it because they'd never manage to capture a site unless nobody roamed through the system.

I'd support the idea with the Ranks for System Upgrading.

The higher your rank, the more LP you gain for sites (I'd say about 2% more LP per Rank) and 5% for pvp kills, maybe more, maybe less. Just not enough to make it abuseable.

My Condor costs less than that module!

I like this fix, coupled with the LP from rank idea, and rank attainable only through system upgrade participation, then it would work wonders to force these pests out of FW.

Hopefully CCP takes note...

Theres a big problem with this:

PVP corps evolve, from newbies looking for good fights to "bitter bets looking for just kills"

So I was doing some FW with some other cool dood, just playing along and then, all of a sudden we land on a gate with a Geddon, ECM boat and a few frigates, one or 3 was an instalock tackle, Guess what happened next?
