Exploration Frigates - Salvaging Bonus

So, after EVE Online: Odyssey, the exploration has changed vastly. Things have been renamed to make more sense without having to look up guides and such. More sites have been added and the modules related to exploration a bit revamped. Basically everything to make the game more convenient, but not easier, as expected of CCP.

However, there is a small gap - with Odyssey, the salvaging sites are gone. This is completely fine and I don't disagree with their removal. But the exploration frigates still have their salvaging bonus! "5% bonus to Salvager cycle time", even though there are no sites to salvage. An exploration frigate also has very poor applications in general salvaging (anyone sane would just use a destroyer or Noctis for this purpose).

This leads me to believe that this bonus is rather useless and obsolete with current build of EVE Online, unless there is something I am not seeing or missing.

I don't know about you, but when I'm traveling along popular trade routes, looking for interesting sites that nobody else even bothers to search for, I'll sometimes find an Orca wreck or a Freighter wreck, and maybe even a Jump Freighter or some other T2 wreck.

Five, six, ten million ISK in salvage all in one shot?

Why yes, I would like a Salvager bonus with that. And a large iced tea. To go.
