Everybody knows how annoying is to have a neutral or enemy cloacked in our sytem for ages and doing icursion HQ with another account only to annoy people and doing nothing else. I know we play a game but is a futuristic game, in that era we need to have the possibility to track the cloackers in any way, with special probes, longer scan time or whatever, but please CCP get ride of this or at least give us a way to combat cloackers and not only the option to align to the POS and that´s it....

Thankyou.

AFK Cloaking thread overflow error.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

You have local which tracks cloakers. It tells you who they are and what system they're in.

You also have a multitude of options in dealing with them when they're in system. If you want to avoid them then you can try moving systems. If you want to fight them off you can try baiting them, or you can try having a more pvp capable fit (cloaked ships are pretty weak when they finally do decloak!), or you can have a standing fleet ready to fight, etc.

You have plenty of options.

Sorry, if you ever see me cloaked for long time time in your system it's probably because i'm chatting or watching youtube videos. Don't be afraid. I'm more afraid of you. Bear

True, but why not another and direct option, a cloacker is not silly to decloack that easy if is not sure to win. So if there is an option he can be tracked in some way he will think twice before be an afk cloacker dont you think?

Yes because nerfing a Covert Ops Frigate will totally resolve your inability to defend your fleet from attack?

Really?

AFK cloakers are not the problem, they're the symptom. The problem is that local gives free and instant intel for no reason.

Look if CCP give us an option to do something there have to be an option to countermeasure it ( from CCP too) simple as that....

Know what would really make him think twice before being a cloaker? If you removed cloaked ships from local, or changed local to a constellation or region wide thing in nullsec, or a number of other things. That'd really discourage people from cloaking.

Local gives instant intel

AFK Cloaking makes nullbears terrified despite their intel. Sounds like a countermeasure ot me.

Local gives instant intel on identity of AFK Cloaker, INCLUDING his corp and alliance.
