Am i right in assuming that this guy believes that if he can fly a ship before his non-updated clone gets exploded, he also expects to be able to fly it after as well?

Seems to me that he's realised this is not the case!

Seems you can either take this as a rather harsh lesson to not forget to update it in the future, or ragequit. Shocked

Just to be sure I asked in a petition as I had the same issue and no Command ship in the hanger to test it on.


I received a reply last night confirming as long as the command ship skill is injected and your clone is kept up to date all is OK.

I'd say 6/10. It started fantastically, gained momentum, and shifted into high gear. But since about page 6, it's become recursive and repetitive. Should've been locked pages ago.

Spent 42 days training for BC5 and Command ships, and made sure Command ships was trained 1 level...and large enough med clone for the boom of SP.

Not wasting 42 days of my life over something trivial.

OP, hope you inserted+trained that skill before the expansion...

Thanks to this thread I was encouraged to test whether it was possible to train CS further without the prereqs.

I logged on an alt who had trained CS 2 before the update but who has only leadership 5 and warfare link 4 in leadership, added CS 3 to the queue

I have discovered it is possible.

This has made me happy.

I am also pleased to see the OP is keen to promote environmental issues

So I stopped reading after page 3.

To summarize OP:

I have a suspicion that if he is not a troll, that he simply may not have injected command ships before the patch, and is now whining because he couldn't plan for changes announced about a year ago.

I can confirm that you can train the skill without the prereqs, as long as its injected.
I got 3 toons, all on the same account, to BCV, warfare link spec 4, before the patch hit. I Injected CS into all 3, but only trained it on 1, and I now confirm I can train it on the others.
Thus getting podded without an up to date clone has no effect either (

Perhaps he lost his racial BC V, in which case he must train it up again before he can sit in his CS, and he's too big of an idiot to realize that is the problem, not the CS skill
